Illbeback… Was talking about life skills and people skills alone… Academics, yeah iit is better than a state school… but academics only take you so far…

Objectively, where will you learn more about people to people interaction - an american state school or iit?

i only just realised that ASP stood for Arjun Shankar Prakash . . whenever someone quoted ‘ASP’ in this convo before i tried finding who ASP was . . . in vain obv

the conclusion that comes out of this discussion is probably why i dont wanna goto IIT even if i get chosen . . cracking the FIIT JEE , brilliant tests etc are fun though . . but I dont wanna be doing only stuff like that in my whole life.

and perfect rishab when u say even after clearing JEE little intention of going there as for the stuff seen in their as future… Me also same path… i too feel that JEE is not the end of life to do and IIT likewise… Atleast for US i get to highlight who i am in totality also…

1) For Engineering Brand value… IITs #3 in the world according to the Times Higher Upplement. And that’s after deducting points for no int’l proffs on campus (technically its #1 then).

IIT = good, it has developed a brand.
But if i were to choose between MIT and IIT, I’d choose MIT.
If I were to choose between IIT or Stanford, I’d chose Stanford…

MIT and Stanford are the top 2 engineering colleges of the US currently, and students who have gone through MIT and Stanford easily find top-paying jobs… and are leading a number of corporate companies or research efforts…

IIT comes no where close to how research-oriented and forward thinking some of the top American engineering universities are…

Mention one significant research project IIT has carried out over the last 10 years. I’ll mention 10 for every one IIT project
