<p>well i have a lot of respect for IIT but absolutely NONE for the JEE…i don’t know what kind of students are they aiming to produce through a system which makes a student solve amazingly high level problems from 5 in the morning to 1 in the night…and majority of the people who get in do exactly the same…what kind of knowledge is this?</p>
<p>2 years back i met a guy in Brilliant Tutorials (i used to go there) who was giving JEE the seventh time…yes the seventh time…that was the maximum number of time one could appear in JEE under the old system…if he were to fail again he would have been a 25 year old high school graduate…which is quite ridiculous…</p>
<p>due to this very lopsided entrance examination system IIT produces more professionals than intellectuals…people would pay any price to gain a degree from IIT even if its to pursue textile engineering when you actually want to do electrical or computers…this quite obviously results in loosing interest in the “not so favourite” field you took to get into IIT…and furthur leads to frustration and dissatisfaction in the the later parts of life…</p>
<p>well one can’t compare IIT with MIT…the latter supports “thinkers” who have an out of the box approach towards life…and these are the ones who are admitted…IIT just looks at ones problem solving skills…which is why graduates from IITians don’t undergo overall personality development which a student from MIT or, in this respect, a student from any other US college does…</p>
<p>again i may contradict some people here but hey everyone has the right to put forward their opinion!!..:)</p>

<p>and since its this JEE which makes IIT what it is…ur statement where u dismiss JEE but praise IIT makes NO SENSE!!!</p>
