Thank God someone posted, I thought I’d become a thread-killer!

congrats hahah, 1MBps? not bad …haha im on a 6MBps dedicated broadband in hong kong…what download speeds do you normally get from popular sites? eg. apple, microsoft?

My download speeds vary from 150 - 225 Kbps. It’s lower than usual because I’m required to go through a proxy which takes up a sizeable amount of bandwidth. :(

I would envy you if I was someone who downloaded lots of stuff, I don’t. :p

i’m on a 512 kbps connection but it feels more like 64. :(

Mine is 114Kbps…it sounds as though it is very low out here…I wonder wat will the dial-up users will think!..;)…

I get about 50-60 Kbps for Downloads max, even though it’s broadband. And that’s because of that proxy again. argh. :D

TiT’s recovered from the Latin phase I see. :)

yeah, you and Noldo managed to make me feel thoroughly uneducated.

:D sorry fuzzy. Consider it retribution for being accepted while the rest of us wait in purgatory. :)

But what can I say, it’s just that things seem to sound more clever (nearly typed cleverer :P) when said/written in Latin. There’s even a saying in Latin about that. :D

I share an Empathy with Fuzzy then…

I’m on 64kbps. The joy!

Hah. My connection claims to be 128, but…ick. Download speed is 29 kbps tops, and that’s only in the dead of night from low-traffic servers. And ridiculously overpriced too. Pity no other service providers service my area of Bangalore, I’d switch at the speed of light!

And yeah, fuzzy, the Latin is purely retribution for your Stanford admission. We want in! ;)

I wonder how many of u hav applied to Leland Stanford Junior University…

hi,.
- plz dont get horrified… no flames this time… i’ve hit my century
- I’ve got 2 Mbps connection
- Taylor, Mclaurin etc are awesome… but Fourier series is the most beautiful (personal taste)

hey and one more thing…

Kriti told me not to post more than 2 in succession, so I had to hit 3… oh so irresistible… okay sorry TiTers

To issac – I have. And please don’t say ‘Stanford’ around me, I get very twitchy indeed. (See, describing myself as ‘worried’ about whether I’ll get in is a superb understatement, and that’s all I’m going to say on the subject. ;))

bas007 – I’d say three is stretching it, but more than four might cause some of us to crack completely and start gibbering. Or something. ;)

I will hav a crack down…I assure u…
Neway, these word association games r drivin me crazy…

bas007, are you in India? Which ISP offers 2 mbps?

I applied to Stanford (SCEA); got rejected. Certainly was a nice way to start of with the application process. :)

@ fuzzy – would you believe, BSNL!
