Good luck …

All the best ^_^.

Good luck, Shrivats (even though you’ll already have left by now).

I have spent most of the morning attempting to dye things, which is more or less the only useful information I have derived from studying Chemistry. :D

I spent most of the morning shaving at flowers and stems with a blade; filling test tubes with enzymes and running through the sprint that is spotting in Bio Practs (As an reward to myself I’ve decided to only study English all day! :D)

I just found this on another thread in CC and thought I’d post it here; the prologue of these debates sounds fascinating :):

I HAVE A PRINCETON INTERVIEW!

It’s on Skype :). March 1st. My interviewer is a double Ivy graduate, Princeton and Yale Law School, and she went to Mauritius to get married, and she’s in the US now. ^_^. Wow.

Can everyone who’s had an interview please, please, please PM me and tell me what their interviews were like? Thank you very much. You get cookies if I ever meet you. :D.

Good luck, onecurlyfry!

Good Luck!!! btw does everyone get a interview or just selected ones?

At p’ton almost everyone gets an interview.
I am dead if i got an interview on skype; my connection gives 5kbps at most.

She said she’d call, but she also asked me if I used Skype. Calling from the US is expensive. So yeah, I’m thinking it’ll be on Skype,

Looks like this is ‘Princeton Interview’ week. :D

Me, Noldo, Shrivats(& k_twin?) and now Kriti.

are interviews offered only to select applicants for any universities? i mean among hypm…

Not all Harvard applicants get interview; dunno about yale.

how important are the interviews? can they cover up for your grades? :D

No.

The sole purpose of interviews is to add a face to the application. It has very little, if any, impact on your admission decision. It most certainly won’t cover up for grades. Basically, if you go there dressed well, carry the conversation well, give a good impression. The colleges will know that personality-wise you’re ok and that they don’t need to worry about you representing them if indeed they do accept you. On the other hand if you don’t manage to do those things then it could have some bearing on your decision.

@spacepirate: In India, due to the large number of applicants, the situation is tricky. They may randomly pick or they may choose the students they want to interview.
