The Indian Thread (TiT) # 15

@Pulch: I applied years ago (4 to be exact) , I am just finishing up my degrees at UIUC(CS+Psychology)!!

800th post!

and I happen to be going to Delhi on the 23rd for a week long vacation before my postponed Comp. Sc. board exam…

can’t believe Comp. Sc. was postponed in my state from 16th March to 4TH APRIL thanks to a stike…
had to cut down my Delhi trip by a week… :(

(note to Kriti…add ‘Obie G’ to your listoooo)

grats on 800!

congrats on 800th post, curly! :)

I love Economics too, however I’ll only study it if I get in Michigan (applied there Jan 1), or Cornell… I’m thinking of double major: Math + Comp Sci, or Finance+ Comp. Sci, or Eco+ Comp. Sci… at any rate, Math+ Comp. Sci is very possible with the colleges I got into already.

curlyfry, I still remember u as the one who send me the essay to be critiqed just like…yesterday?! (oh well, the posts in this thread counts righ? lol! :D)

wth is an ali g?

How is Illinois Urbana? I got in there and Gatech so far. Do you like the overall experience?

Well purely from a job perspective , Id recommend Finance ! Usually after a few years , no one really wants to work as a developer!

google it please… :frowning:
or better yet use wikipedia!

oh yeah, i sent my essays to like 546544 people. thanks! I GOT MY FIRST ACCEPTANCE!

where?!..

Urbana is a good school , of the big state schools , I would recommend UMich is the best out of the lot. UIUC is pretty much smack in the middle of nowhere which sucks , and its pretty much an engineering heavy school.
Gatech- Similar story on the engineering side , and the gender ratio is screwwwwed!!

…okay. ob g sounds like ob-gyn :(

i gotta go.

lol quite true fry!!

oberlin. early acceptance, i think.

(never heard of it…I don’t know a lot abt colleges either! anyway, congrats!)

I saw the starting average salaries for Comp Sci and Finance (after an undergraduate degree of 4 years). Comp. Sci is slightly higher (52 k vs. 41 k). Source: money.cnn.com

Congrats asif for the win:)
