The Indian Thread (TiT) # 15

k-twin: I doubt that mods would sticky it if it’s specifically for Indians.

dda: I think there’s a master list of acceptance by ronty in the archive for class 2010, you can take the template from there. It’s pretty plain though.

Hmm, Noldo’s changed her —> to Caltech…Perhaps Pasadena was a bit too discreet ;).

Discreet indeed.

I think we’ll wait for the master list for the next few days. We’ll know for certain about everything by next week anyway. (God, I sent a chill up my spine just writing that. :))

You sent one up my spine as well. We will finally know where we are going.

omg! its something under 100 hours away!

I was thinking of more a thread for all internationals.

We’ll have one for Indians, of course, but we could also start one for Internationals and just copy the Indian portion in.

(Perhaps we could put it at the start of tIT 16?)

Fine, but then when should we start TiT#16? If we start it after overtaking Thread#14 then it would be possible only near July.

Re. my arrow – yeah, pfft, who needs subtlety?

Anyhow. Three-ish days to go, I guess? (And a couple more for Stanford, which I suppose is the decision I’m really waiting for.)

Yea, we could put it at the start of TiT#16 that would be great. And we should def. wait till April 2nd maybe, when all the descsions are out.

I was thinking of something tht look like this, for example:
Name SATscore SAII score Accpeted Rejected Hooks
dda 1720/2020 710/740 XYZ XYZ Diversity

I’d say we’ll follow the same pattern, start 16 in August.
We’ll try to make it more comprehensive shall we? similar to a decision thread (maybe even following a format like one)

Oh, and i just checked my status online and it turns out that we’re (Shri and I) accepted to CMU! :)

Nice way to start off the day innit? :D

Congratulations, you guys, although it really isn’t surprising. CMU would be idiotic not to.

(How about you, Lakshya? Whenever you’re online and see this?)

Daily Round up: Yesterday’s: 52 posts.

Seems all our TiTers have migrated to other threads? Well so will I then, just for a bit… :D

lol.

In other news. We have reached the 400th page!! w00t!

:D

Hurrah, I guess?

I suspect the reason for this thread’s silence is decision angst.

I still can’t see my CMU decision! Dammit!

Congratulations twins!!!

great to see the indian thread doing so well. I go to Duke and really hope that some of you guys/gals decide to come to Duke this year. My year(2009), there were a total of 7 people who got accepted to Duke from the Indian Thread and 6 ended up coming here. Ive been rooming with people that I met on here since freshman year and will be doing it next year as well

Keep it going guys, and good luck on all your decisions!

Nice to hear from a veteran! Quite a few of us have applied to Duke this year, (Shri and I applied to Pratt), as I think did Lakshya.

Lakshya it isn’t a decision as such. When you enter your ID, last name and DOB in the “Where am I in this process” page, you’ll get to your details and you’ll see your decision next to the list of colleges you’ve applied to on the same form that appeared earlier. (Honestly, I couldn’t be more convoluted and opaque if I tried! :D)
