I don’t know, as scuzzy as Charlie Sheen is, how the allegations are presented sound odd.
The friend claims Sheen raped Corey, and then Corey was rejected when he came back for more? I’m no fan, but that sounds odd.

Sure, one can be completely willing and underage, and it’s considered statutory rape. However, that is different from being attacked against one’s will, and that seemed to be what was being declared. I don’t know, and if Charlie isn’t talking and Corey is deceased, it’s going to be tough to prosecute.
Haim was 13 at the time and Sheen was 19. A 6-year age difference is huge when one person can legally go off to fight a war and the other one just got out of 6th grade. Haim, apparently, was coerced by Sheen who claimed that “this is what men in Hollywood do” and Haim wanted to succeed in acting. This won’t be prosecuted, but people have wondered why Haim, a nice kid from Canada, went off the rails, and this seems to be where his downward spiral began.
I do have a close gay friend who has told me that he regularly had consensual sex with strange men in the local movie theater in his tweens.

@Consolation Usually when I find out someone has had “consensual” sex in their early teens I discover that they were molested as a child.

They are actually cutting Kevin Spacey out of the completed movie “All the Money in the World” and re-filiming his part with Christopher Plummer. Apparently all actors, crew, director agreed to find time to come back to make this happen (which was about 8 days worth of filming). And the movie is scheduled to open in December so it will be a tight timeline. I think they were (appropriately) afraid nobody would see a film with Kevin Spacey in it. People in the industry might have known about Spacey’s behavior long before this and thus been complicit.
@rosered55 I don’t think there is any might about it. I think the swift action against Kevin Spacey is exactly because they knew what he was doing and were happy not to have to be complicit

While I’m generally a believer in “innocent until proven guilty” and “preponderance of evidence,” I also believe “when you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not zebras.”
Regarding Haim and Sheen, you need only look at the photo in that article that shows them on the set and recognize that Haim was 13 and a child. It was not consensual, it was manipulation.
My point is that perhaps we should not be congratulating these movie makers for dropping Spacey from the movie but asking why they didn’t cut him loose earlier.
I read that Christopher Plummer was actually the director’s first choice, but the studio thought Spacey was a bigger star.
I’m glad the movie is still coming out. I saw the trailers last month and it looks interesting. Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams co-star.
