The Latest Sinister Lothario: Judge Roy Moore

Video of another Post reporter trying to question James O’Keefe about the women. There is also a video released by James O’keefe of the same interview.

Lee Busby was just on MSNBC and goodness it was painful. He is in way over his head.

And O’Keefe is about to speak at SMU on … REAL NEWS – Stopping Bias in American Media

Universities should not give space to anti-intellectuals who have been proven to be liars.

When the Washington Post gives us the entire videotaped interview, and O’Keefe gives us a heavily edited video of the interview, I know who to trust.

There’s a new write-in candidate for the election. He’s running as in independent, and is a vet who once served under Gen. Kelly. He’s also a sculptor.

@greenwitch he was on msnbc this morning. He really didn’t have a good answer when ask d about Moore. He basically said, he wasn’t taking a side, and he hadn’t paid attention to the story. (I’m paraphrasing)

He also clearly had no knowledge of the tax bill going through the Senate right now that he will be expected to vote on ASAP if elected.

I didn’t see the whole interview but the clip I saw wouldn’t make me vote for him. He came of as uninterested.

I’m fairly certain he was cleaning his fingernails at one point.

It was just… odd.

Yeuch.

I hope the school of journalism and students ask all kinds of questions, with the wapo video shown  He shouldn’t get space to propagate lies (it’s not like inventing news is journalism or proves bias except for those who designed the stunts) but deconctructing the way he sets them up as alternatives would be very interesting.

The woman who was 14 when Moore molested her is hitting back at being called a liar by him and his campaign. She sent him a letter (part of it is below).

I just don’t get the blind eye some people give to their religious leaders. This pastor supports Moore and serves at the church that hosted Moore Wednesday night.

“…In 2012, Atkinson was found guilty of obstruction and conspiracy for ordering two of his children to destroy a hard drive of a digital video recorder, which held evidence that incriminated his son for child molestation. At the time, William James “Will” Atkinson IV was in a Honduras jail awaiting trial on charges that he molested children at an orphanage the Atkinson family owned. Those allegations came to light when his younger brother, Jonathan Atkinson, set up a secret surveillance system in Will’s office after some of the children said they had been touched inappropriately…”

Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore co-authored a 2011 study course in which a speaker contended women should not be allowed to run for public office and, if they did, people have a moral obligation not to vote for them, Think Progress reported…"

and more teenage dating weirdness by the group that hired him:
“…Vision Forum closed in 2013 after Phillips resignation following his admission of an extra-marital relationship. The woman in the relationship, Lourdes Torres-Manteufel, later sued Phillips and Vision Forum in connection to a relationship that she said began when she was 15…”

Because Mary was a child. Or something.

Honestly, the mental gymnastics people do in order for their worldview and beliefs not to be bothered is remarkable. It seems to take so much energy.

These people are lower than pond scum.

^You’re doing a disservice to pond scum.

Wonder whom Roy Moore voted for or will vote for in these elections:

  • Alabama treasurer in 2002 and 2006.
  • Alabama lieutenant governor in 2010 and 2014.
  • Alabama governor in 2018.

Republican woman Kay Ivey won the past elections listed above, and is seeking re-election as governor in 2018 (she became governor when the previous governor resigned in scandal).

Saw some of his supporters at a rally on the news. They were asked, after being presented with audio of interview where he admitted knowing these women (this week he denied knowing them) whether or not they thought he was hiding something. They all said they were still firm in their support.
Never had a desire to visit Alabama but after this it’s certainly not on my list.
