So what math you’re likely to take?

Calc BC honors. It’s gonna be tough… :(|)
What about your D?

Wow, it’d be a challenge for you to figure out what to do after that. She hasn’t done placement test yet but she was on track to honors precal at LPS next year.

just a word of caution: calc bc is 10x more stressful/rigorous than calc ab. there are sophomores and even a freshman in my calc bc class, all doing (i think) quite well, but i wouldn’t recommend the course to sophomores.

@sharinggift after calc, you’ll probably be taking honors calculus-based statistics junior year – a princeton course (if approved) senior year.

@MBVLoveless: Wait you can take classes at Princeton?

@mathman1201 That’s what they do for science and math classes. When students run out of classes at Lville, they go to Princeton. Perhaps that’s how so many Lawrentians get admitted to Princeton: they prove they can handle Princeton!

I don’t know, BC is going to suck, but I think I can handle it. :)

@SharingGift: WOW that’s SO cool! That just made me go to Lville hundred times more.
:D

Wait just a random question but is Lville formal or casual dress?

Don’t get so excited. Lots of other public high schools in the area offer the same to students who max out the math curriculum: Princeton High School, Lawrence Twp High, West-Windsor Plainsboro to name a few. Not just limited to Lawrenceville School students.

Ok, but it’s still cool. :)

But if you don’t live in the Princeton, New Jersey area Lawrenceville is the only school that can provide this opportunity @sgopal2

Exactly. :)

And that’s why it’s so special to others.

L’ville is casual, except we have to wear collared shirts.

Don’t count on maxing out the programs unless you’re super far ahead. I’m not going to be able to max out the math program there, and I’m three years ahead (I think) in math. They have a LOT of courses.

hi, I’m going to apply to Lawrenceville next year, is there anything you guys can tell me about how to handle the application processes and stuff?

thanks.

Well, you have to wear collared shirts if you’re a boy. If you’re are girl, standard dress code rules apply (no really thin shirt straps, shorts below fingertips, etc).

And @Terremoto, none of us here are AO’s. I’d just like to say, though, that the interview DEFINITELY counts for more than you think. I’m pretty sure that’s one of the main reasons (if not THE main reason) I got into L’ville.

@Terremoto and that one essay where you choose your own topic is really important, I think. Mine gave me a big boost, I’m pretty sure.

@Terremoto, I know this is very cliche, but fill your applications with ways the school could benefit from having you, not what you would like to take from them. You look much more appealing to admissions if you can fill spots on sports teams or clubs.

While the opportunity to take a class at Princeton might be good, isn’t that a logistical nightmare between scheduling within the day, transportation, and the differences in the academic calendars?
