The new Caitlyn Jenner

I think Caitlyn looks great–much younger looking than most 65-year old women!

I know SOOOOOO many women walking among us who have had boob implants and all kinds of nipping and tucking and filling. He certainly looks as “natural” as probably 50% of the women in the greater LA area and probably a good percentage in my area. Personally, I can’t wait for my issue to arrive.

I was also glad she didn’t go with the Kardashisn K.

For anyone who think Bruce Jenner “lied” to three wives you are totally missing the point of how confusing Bruce was at that point in his life. Most people don’t have to worry about issues like sexuality or sexual orientation. Be glad you don’t. I’d be willing to bet $1.50 that Bruce Jenner wanted nothing more than to be a good old fashioned red bloodied straight guy. God knows he had it made if that is what he felt like but he is the one in a million who looks so great as a guy but felt like something else and it took him a long time to finally get comfortable with that.

I don’t think Ricky Martin, the singer, lied when he wrote songs about women. He’s gay. But I am sure he felt something for women at the time he wrote those songs just like Elton John has songs about women. It isn’t as black and white as lying and for that matter two out of three of Bruce’s ex-wives totally support him as do his, I guess now her, kids do. You can dissect him/her all you want. It doesn’t matter at this point. That is part of being in the public eye, I am sure. I am also sure he won’t read whatever is written here and has heard it all before.

But what’s worth celebrating is that he/she has overcome it all. Even if she did it a little late in life. I am happy as heck for Caitlyn. Really happy. I can’t even imagine how much she has suffered to get to this point. As far as the car accident, well, as far as I can tell, it was an accident. I have no idea what the facts are of that situation so I’ll let the cops sort it out.

I don’t know any transgendered folks. I am trying to understand the whole thing better. It is usually very secret. I am sure there are lots and lots of young people watching this all and trying to figure out who they are and Bruce/Caitlyn is helping them understand themselves. I am pretty sure he is long past caring what anyone, other than his/her kids, think. Good for him/her on that. I totally support her on that.

My understanding is that if you are at the END of a chain collision, you are at fault because you were following too close. If you were rear-ended, which knocked your car into something ahead of you (a pedestrian, another car) that is not your fault.

Was Jenner knocked into the car in front of Jenner’s car?

Jenner was either speeding or following too closely or not paying attention. He has been sued for wrongful death. He needs to make recompense to the woman’s relatives, he has plenty of money,
and make a real apology. Show some real remorse.

I think she looks great and who cares what her name is. I’m 24 and have never ever met a person with my legal name of any age.

Also I’d like to look that good now let alone 40 years from now.

Who cares what her sexual organs are or whether she’s chosen to operate on her genitalia. It’s absolutely none of our business and it has nothing to do with her gender.

And it seems like she’s gone to preferring female pronouns so using he/she etc is offensive. Just fyi

@thumper, Bruce and Kris Kardashian Jenner had two daughters as well, who are both now showing up at red carpet events and in the tabloids. The older one is making it big as a model.

I don’t think Bruce “lied” to 3 wives so much as he was trying to deny his feelings and be the man everyone saw him as. I can totally understand how all that happened. He was trying to make it work. In those days, the options were pretty limited. I know the first two wives are being supportive. I think Kris will get there. I’m not a big fan of hers, but I don’t blame her for being upset, though. That was a major shake up in her life and marriage. Of course it will take time for her to heal. She may or may not ever be able to wrap her mind around it totally.

I was stunned to see those photos of Caitlyn. She looks amazing. So what if the lighting and makeup and other magic is different than her every day look. She wouldn’t be the first to grace that magazine looking far more glam than her real life self.

In fact, I wish I could afford a photo shoot with Annie L. myself! The glamour shots of all glamour shots, lol.

It will be more difficult for Bruce to transgender to Caitlyn because Bruce is a gold medal Olympian and Caitlyn is not. Can Caitlyn Jenner legally claim to be the gold medal winner of a male sport?

I also have a hard time with folks who cannot “come out” publicly because of fear of retribution being gay, transgender, etc and get married. I have known or heard of many such cases where people have decided “to be their true selves” and have found a life partner. Often the person they originally married is left alone and, well, deserted. If Chris Jenner feels angry, I do not blame her.

Why is it ok for someone to become their true selves, and you always hear that they knew they were living a lie, glorified when someone they married is being really hurt. It is f$&ked. One persons fear or weakness should not be another persons devastation.

I have no opinion of him becoming Caitlyn, my issue is the car accident. Maybe its just me, but I dont like the fact that she is carrying on after killing someone in an accident. I am not saying life doesnt go on, but it is so soon after. I imagine the poor family of the victim, looking at all of this publicity and being quite pissed.

What? Devastation? Kris is dating some guy. She’s hardly devastated. She’s living the rock star life.

Caitlyn clearly stated in the article that she does not care about pronouns.

My daughter has s transgendered friend. It was obvious at age 2 that “she” was a “he”. B would have panic attacks when forced into a dress. He is much more content as 25 year old man than he ever was as a girl. I love him like one of my own and would never question his decision.

My son’s friend is 19 now, but he started his transition at 16. Friend and son don’t hang out so much anymore. I think maybe the reason for this is that my son still treats his friend like a he. It;s “Hey dude”, “Say Bro” I think his friend wants to hang with friends who treats him more like a lady. I think my son is pretty accepting of people in general, but he just isn’t transitioning along with this friend. Which makes me appreciate just how hard life can be for transgenders.

Since when is writing songs about women equivalent??

I have no idea if that was a serious question, but she is the same person, you know! Just because she wouldn’t be eligible now to compete in the men’s decathlon doesn’t mean she didn’t win it back then! They don’t confiscate medals just because your situation changes and you’re no longer eligible. Dead people aren’t eligible either, and they don’t make their heirs return their medals, or strike them from the list of winners.

I have to say I’m stuck on the name.
Caitlyn, is someone my younger daughters age.
If she had wanted to pick an unusual name, it would not have been as jarring IMO, as a common name associated with much younger women.

However, I just read a perspective that posited that she may have chosen her name 25 years ago, in which case it would make perfect sense. That’s how old my younger daughter is!

Good point, emeraldkity4. Just because she is just telling all of us her name now, doesn’t mean she just picked it.

@donna-
no judgement from me at all. All I can do is wish her well and hope she can enjoy finding herself, she is very fortunate that with her financial position she could do what she did (I wouldn’t be surprised if her whole plastic surgery package was near 100k) but that said, I hope she gets to enjoy it. I am hoping that her publicizing all this is about trying to educate people rather than being some sort of self promotion stunt, it is very hard not to think so since she was so tied up with the all Kardashian freak show…but I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, that she is sincere.

As far as her kids go, I think those judging them are more than a bit out of line. They may well love Caitlyn, but they themselves don’t want to get caught up in the publicity or be part of it, they could be private people who want to maintain their own lives and such (not saying you said that, Donna, saw other posters write that)and also read how Caitlyn was ‘disappointed’ they didn’t want to do the tv stuff, and I think that was unfair of her, to be honest, her kids have a right to their own lives and don’t need to go on tv to prove they love her, that’s all. Caitlyn may be used to the reality universe after being part of the Kardashian mess, but she needs to understand her kids have a right to their own lives, their own way of dealing with things. if they refused to talk to her or be around her, it would be one thing, but sounds like the kids in different ways are dealing well with it, especially compared to some of the stories I have heard of, so expressing hurt that they won’t do the tv show is a bit selfish, to be honest, if in fact Caitlyn was disappointed.

Don’t know if blame has been determined, but police did say that Jenner was not speeding…he was under the speed limit. They also checked the cell phone and he was not texting.
