I know I pretty much defended her before because my heart kind of goes out to her in a really weird way but she can just be down right nasty! I guess your true colors always show through sooner or later…even though she has shown those colors on her own show!! She really doesn’t have it!! I think Elaine on Seinfield had better dancing skills!

She displays the same attitude on DWTS that she did on her own show…pretty poor.
She looks very grim on the show…wonder if she regrets signing on.

I know a couple of large families who live reg. everyday lives. It doesn’t have to be the way Kate makes it.

I must admit I felt pretty sorry for her last night during the dance. She finished and didn’t cry on camera, and I thought that was a pretty big achievement. But her dancing does kind of reflect on her personality – stiff, controlling. I heard somewhere that despite their low numbers, they actually are in first with the voters!

My first pick to go would actually be Aiden.

This article:
[Scherzinger?s dominance may ruin ?Dancing? - Dancing With the Stars- msnbc.com](http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36092130/ns/entertainment-reality_tv/)
is really about Nicole and not Kate but this quote is funny:
LOL

I so agree with that story, JustAMom. And now having learned Nicole minored in dance in college??? What a ringer. But she could lose because of a backlash.

Speaking of couples not getting along, Ana didn’t look like she likes Evan much either. Though Erin and Max look, uh, close.

There have been contestants in previous seasons who had extensive dance experience. Melanie Brown, Mya and Mario Lopez come to mind. None of them won. When the voting public is largely responsible for the outcome, there is never any guarantee that the best performer will win. American Idol is proof of that!

As for Kate, I was embarrassed for her last night. I hope for her sake that she goes home soon. It’s painful to watch.

I wonder sometimes if the judges rig the scores because they know how the image of being professionally trained can cause a backlash with the public. They saw that with Melanie Brown and the Cheetah Girl (can’t remember her name). They seemed shocked that they were voted off. This might be the reason they give them much higher scores, in case they have a low fan base.Seriously 2 tens already…if they can get 2 tens already then that means there is a terrible unfair advantage and the show should just pack it in and call it a day.

Every yr DWTS always has to defend why they pick a singer or an ice skater, I am truly curious why they keep doing that. Seriously, if people are asking than in a polite way they are saying, aren’t you rigging the show. The 1st season was the best because they didn’t have dancers. Even when they had dancers later on like Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey. Their careers were long over. Thinking Nichole is still pretty busy with the ■■■■■ Cat dolls.

IMHO DWTS needs to get back to their roots and pick B list people.

I have (miraculously) managed to almost completely avoid seeing/hearing/knowing much about Kate until the DWTS season. I knew her name, that she was on a reality show, has 8 kids, and went through a recent split with her husband. But that is it.

After watching her last night, all I can say is, WHAT A BRAT. Spoiled, all about herself, snotty.

Regarding the other competitors, I suspect the judges were trying to goad Evan by giving him a Russian partner (don’t know if everyone caught it, but her first comment to him when they were introduced was that he didn’t do the quad). He is pretty professional, so far (at least on camera), he has not let her get to him. But I agree, their chemistry is terrible. Question is, how well/long can they fake it?

And Buzz – same age as my dad, amazing that he is getting out there and doing this at all! I can’t imagine how sore and tired he must be over the past few weeks. He is a real American hero, and deserves to be watched by millions a LOT more than Kate does.

I DVR this show so I havent seen last nights show, yet. But after watching last weeks show it was obvious to anyone with knowledge of dance, that Nicole has had dance training. I wish all the Celebes on the show would include an adult beginning ballet class as part of their training. It would make a world of difference.

This is my first season watching the show . I find it difficult to watch bad dancing. I think the show, which has been losing viewers; pick Celebes like Kate to increase the drama, hoping to increase the ratings. I guess its working; I am now taping/watching the show. Once she is voted off, I will zoom through the show until Nicoles dance and then delete .just to painful to watch the rest.

DWTS always has some contestants on who are there just for celebrity and not because we expect them to dance well. Steve Wozniak, for example–who would ever expect him to dance well? He was pretty game, though, I will admit.

Sometimes the celebrities chosen for comic relief or celebrity will surprise you–Warren Sapp, the heavy football player, was very light on his feet. Apolo Anton Ohno, the speed skater, turned out to be a great dancer. Cloris Leachman was amazing for an olde person. I think that Pamela Anderson has been a surprise.

So I’m glad that the producers don’t just choose those with previous dance experience.

I just wonder if the jive was a good dance to have this early in the competition. It’s a very difficult dance to do well–and look like you are having fun doing it!

I follow Apolo on Twitter & I would like to know what supplements he is on, because that boy has been going back and forth across the country as soon as the Olympics were over, ( visiting schools etc>), and I do not know how he gets his energy.

I do not watch DWTS, but last night, I stopped off at a high school friends ( who I had not seen since shortly after high school, 35 years ago- roughly- after dropping D2 off at college, and after reconnecting through facebook after my mom recently passed), and she insisted on watching Kate’s dance- making comments through out.

I agree with the judges- but who are these people?

I didn’t even watch it when Donny Osmond was dancing and I * like* him.
I just can’t watch reality tv- not even sports really- although I did watch bits of the Olympics.
Maybe if I had one of these 80" screens it would be more compelling?

Don’t you watch commercials? Apolo gets his energy from Nyquil! :)

The only thing an 80" screen would do is to make it a much larger train wreck!

I don’t watch TV unless Pearl Jam is on.

seriously.
So is he doing Nyquil ads?
That gets me stoned.( but its good when you want to sleep)

They ran the Nyquil commercial ALL the time during the Olympics!

I can’t imagine being a “regular” person competing against Pamela and Nicole. I think Kate was seriously bratty, but I perceived it as hurt feelings and fear.

I’m an awful dancer, as she is, so I can relate to that. I think it took some guts for her to go on the show. I couldn’t have done it.

I’ve heard figures of anywhere of $75,000 up to $175,000 per show that she is making. Are you sure for that you couldn’t have done it? :)

Positive. Just couldn’t. Now the reality show? Probably. But not set myself up for public humiliation in an area in which I have absolutely no talent.

For that kind of money I think I would try it for a time or two!
