The new Kate Gosselin

I was channel surfing and saw the show just when her segment started. Arrgghh.

The thing is that she knew she would need to dance. She knew that an experienced professional would be teaching her. Then she starts complaining that he is not teaching her the *right *way (her way), that he is not listening to *her/I, basically, that he won’t completely change the way he teaches just for her. Because she is so special, I guess.

Oh, she was irritating!

Drove me crazy.

Sometimes people who have never taken dance classes think all you need to do is learn a routine and magically you become a dancer. I’m sure it is frustrating for the Celebes and the professionals. Do the pros select the music and choreograph their dances?

The music gets selected by the show producers. The “star” and his/her dance partner/teacher have to choreograph their own dances.

I was totally blown away by certain parts of Pamela Anderson’s body, and I’m not talking about her chest  She has fabulous legs, OMG!

I think Kate has a personality disorder.

I have done a lot of ballroom dancing and it comes very easy to me, but if you don’t have the knack for it, it is a very difficult thing to learn. Anyone might be able to learn the steps but there is so much more to it than that. Kate should stick to line dancing.

Not a big fan Of Kate’s, but she needs to get voted off quickly. She admits she is doing this for the $$, but it just isn’t working for her. That said, I can see people voting for her to make her endure more embarrassment by sticking around longer.

I am sort of a DWST fan. I don’t watch until those who can’t dance are eliminated, but have watched bits of the first two shows. Kate is really out of her element, ie control the world, and it shows.

Can’t believe she was not even in the bottom 2 tonight. She had such a sourpuss expression during the entire results show. I used to like/admire her a bit last year when she was going through her divorce. I’m so over her.

Kate drove me nuts last night. What we saw was only the culmination, and I don’t think Tony, who is usually very patient and good natured, cracked on the basis of what we saw. There must have been lots more. She was relentless, and then it was all his fault for “not understanding what she meant.” When you have no dance/performing experience, your only hope is to put yourself entirely in the hands of the pro. He’s been there before. He’s worked with all kinds of celebs and students. He’s a champion ballroom dancer. He’s the boss, or as Len said “Show up! Keep up! Shut up!”

Who got kicked off?

Shannen Doherty.

Shannon was voted off. She didn’t deserve to go and seemed to really want to be there. I don’t know what people vote for but it certainly doesn’t have anything to do with dancing. The athlete who changed his name to a number should have gone - or Aldrin - who is embarrassing himself - or psycho Kate should have gone.

I was reading through AOL news last night and came upon an entertainment article which quoted “sources” as saying that Kate requested that her coach be fired, but that the producers refused.

Could be untrue, but it wouldn’t really surprise me if it did indeed happen.

OBTW, from what I understand, they make 25K per episode, not 75K, and the paycheck ends the minute they lose.

I am sorry Shannon left. I agree watching Aldrin is just too painful…At least Cloris Leachman was funny, she made you laugh whenshe spoke to the judges or when she practiced. Buzz is just painful.

I feel badly for the pros who are stuck with some of these people - especially the ones with Chad and Kate. They don’t seem to be having any fun at all. Does anyone know how much the pros get paid per episode.

Same as the stars. I recall reading an article last yr and they explained that they pay the same amount as the stars since many of them have multiple dance studios or are choreographers for big name musicians, thus, they need to pay large amounts. In the article it talked about the reason Louis Van Whatever left because he was taking a financial hit due to the fact that he had to turn down business. Max’s family supposedly has multiple dance studios, and I believe Cheryl Burke does too. I think Tony Dovani actually lives in Vegas and he does the choreography for a lot of their shows. I think it is him, maybe it is another one, but one of their male dancers lives in Vegas.

They also are only paid for however long they remain on the show.

I am guessing that if you add the dancer, star, hosts and judges that is why people believe they are making 175K per episode. If you add them up as one group in total it is 175K, because I bet they all make 25K each.

Pamela Anderson and Shannon Doherty in the bottom two? That was a crime! Can we please send Buzz and Kate home?

^^Exactly! Gotta pry those cell phones out of hubby’s hands next time! He keeps giving the votes to Buzz, his hero!

Oh my, please let the voters put Kate out of her misery this week and let her go home. I’d rather watch Buzz, at least he’s pleasant to the judges despite their criticism.

I’ll bet Kate would stab Nicole in the back - literally - if she knew she could get away with it.

Nicole was almost unrecognizable in her costume tonight - but cute as a button. She is really talented.

Kate has got to be the worst dancer I’ve ever seen. Bar none.

Forget about putting her out of her misery. Please put us out of ours.

She’s not even a graceful walker. She is just clunking around up there. I have danced a lot and have seen lots of bad dancers. She is right up there with the worst I have ever seen. She must really need the money.
