Sometimes I wish I had more hooks, but then I think about it I’m actually pretty happy about who I am now, and I wouldn’t change anything despite schooling could have been easier.

waitlisted from Horace Mann. to be honest, I was expecting to get flat out rejected because of what happened in my interview, but I guess not lol

I’m actually doing really well (mentally at least). I haven’t had any breakdowns, and I’m even more motivated to get my ■■■ together

I kind of decided with my mom that I’ll review all the decisions slightly later than M9 after I came off my 16-hr plane for the experience. But honestly though, I don’t if I’m going to actually do that and resist not opening the portal on the plane.

@muchanxieotea that’s actually the exact reason I’m doing it I figured the wifi is probably way too slow for any kind of once in a lifetime experience
@sparkatzz That’s probably best, just wait until you are somewhere comfortable and avoid the rush. As for me, I have a Chess Tournament that weekend and local decisions come out on the 8th. I’ll probably wait until Saturday night to check after the tournament. At least that’s my plan, but who knows if I’ll be able to wait. :-SS

Placed 6th in impromptu at my speech tournament on Saturday! Not that great but a lot better than I thought I would for my first competition (at the end of the season lol ope)! Sectionals on Saturday again and then a leadership conference I’m attending for StuCo. If I place top 6 at Sectionals this Saturday I get to go to State on March 9, which would be a nice distraction. March 3-5 I have DECA States which is pretty exciting and then later on the 5th (right after I get home, basically) I have an invitational for my academic team! My birthday is next week too. I’m so busy but the time goes faster like this…

Sadly, I have nothing to distract me. But, I only have 2 weeks (!!) of school after I get back from break, and school usually goes by pretty quick for me for some reason…
