The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2013

erm, I’m not so sure Karpov…don’t you think this was a REAL special case? :)

Flibb i am sure there is a way around. cause last year teams were forming all over the place. at the last minute, Just before the event

Sure. but does it mean they money lying around for special cases to dispose at will. arent there rules and guidelines set years before about the allocation of any funds.

oh thanks karpov! gonna get down to it tomorrow!

And yes you are right, there are guidelines…

May i ask, did you hear from EDII?

Nah. they say early Feb which could mean they mail the decisions on 12th in which case i’ll be waiting till 16 or something.

but then again maybe they forgot about me. or maybe they dont wanna waste postage stamps to tell me that i got rejected. whatever. i am just tired of waiting.

lol dont worry man, all of us are praying for you!

Karpov you’ll get in, Inshallah. Whats the Conn ED II acceptance rate? >50% right? Just be optimistic.

Optimistic for what? He’s asking for a lotta aid, applying in a female-dominated college and fighting for among navies of Indians and Chinese. With not an awfully wonderful SAT II either. So, for me, his chances stand at 2-4% and that too becasue of ED.

Realistic, therefore, is the better word.

hahahha. way to go game. i wish u had stuck to these views when we were having those arguments. Does this mean i have changed your mind on something.
And they dont have a lotta money. so thats where it stands at the moment.

How about…we just keep high hopes? !

Okay so did any one apply to vanderbilt, swarthmore or lafayette?

or even williams?

And did anyone think about applying to countries other than the US/UK?

I have applied to Britain and Singapore. Might as well try a bit of German and Hong Kong flavors.

LAfayette? Yes. others no.NO non us unis yet.

okay, and might the game tell us which German unis? How good are they on the affordability side?

I am considering Jacobs. Try this for info: [Jacobs University Bremen. Welcome!](http://www.jacobs-university.de/)

oh…okay, thanks! I don’t count Bremen german tho…it was setup by americans, and has no major relation with germany or the german academia…

Hey btw Game, may I ask why you are applying to all these universities now that you have already been accepted ED? I mean, don’t you sign a sort of binding contract? Or are you applying just for the fun of it, being able to reject so many unis? :D

No man. My ED contract binds me to NOT apply to any place in the USA and withdraw applications from all the places that I have already applied. It doesn’t apply outside America, so I can apply to as many places as I want in Germany and the like.
