Hey guys, I just joined. I wanted to ask that which universities in the states are good for Actuarial Sciences. That’s what I’m planning to do. Currently in my first year of A-Levels with subjects Economics, Math, Further Math and Accounting. Had 6 A’s 1 B and 1 D (Pakistan Studies) at O-Levels. I’m an American Citizen. I’ll be taking the SAT this may and hope to get >2100 in it.

The main problem which arises for me is that I don’t have any EC’s, at all. What am I supposed to do about that?

And also I didn’t have any science subjects at A-Levels nor at O. So which subjects am I supposed to take in the SAT II other than Math IIC?

@ahsanxr…dude, you can take any SAT II subject(s) along with your Math IIC one. Just choose the one in which you’re really good

Guys, any of you applied to Washington University of St. Louis? I did, and well i’ve been wait-listed. Ah, it was my first admission decision, so would’ve preferred a more definite answer. And now time for the rejections to start rolling in. :)

1 Case Western (super_leader)

lol, superleader you’re panic-ier than I am. In any case, they’ll now further reply in June. Let’s hope it doesnt come to that.

NA i didnt apply there.
Guys whats Washington U’s FA policy like. How many internationals do they take in every year. How much money do they spend on the internationals. That might throw some light. I saw a couple of other guys on a completely different thread mentioning they got wailtlisted too.

they do offer aid…not THAT much. There are a fair few internationals but their selectivity is one to match the Ivies. 1400 seats for 23000 applicants. Ouch. I’m surprised i made it to the wait-list!

well anyway Best of Luck with rest of the apps. The first is always the hardest…whatever the decision
