The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2013

^ FACT: Nobody requiring more than 50% financial aid has any safeties. So don’t fret.

OMG dude SSK 91, i just saw ur stats profile and i am BLOWN away. Kinda depresses me for myself cuz im applying to cornell and all with …ugh…my stats. But hey, good luck man, u should TOTALLY get in to a top top school!

@ game : I don’t think ANYONE is pay more than 50% of the cost. :S

Just a general question: How long do you think it will take to get a return on your foreign college education, if you work in Pakistan after graduating and assuming you partly/wholly financed your education?
I know many of you have science A-Levels subjects and are more inclined to go into engineering e.t.c but for me, its most likely that I will get into banking and I can see my education paying itself off in around 10 years. :O

nrmncpr, I’m also an accounts, economics student. I don’t have any idea how long it would take for our education to pay off. =/

Might take a while. The recession will get a lot worse before it gets any better.

*Why is it that the only picture I can portray of the future is so ***in’ gloomy? :(

Hey people! So when are we all going to hear about decisions? MIT announced their date is 14th March, and my other colleges are 29th March/1st April…how about you guys? Who is waiting to hear about decisions? Do we agree to post decisions here? I mean, I will, but do others have problems with this for fears of security? :)

I am posting mine in advance: MIT- Accepted, Yale- Accepted, Harvard- Accepted. Unfortunately I am going to have make some tough choices this summer :)

^ BTW, cuz there is always someone who doesn’t get it, the above post is wishful thinking.

^^lol!

so who else?

Count.Me.In

I didn’t apply to any prestigious (putting stars adds to the prestige  ) Ivies or MIT, Stanford… I have a decision on 15 March, all the rest will be on 1 April, I guess. Just waiting.

talha, which one is the March one? maybe its the same for me and I don’t know :D

Why don’t you guys make a calender of sorts in your mobile, PC or diary? Everyone here at least has a mobile so.

Its Furman University, Flibb. Their applications went up bigtime! It started off as my safety, but not anymore. :frowning: Four guys from my school have applied there, and they all have better stats than me.

@ theGame, I really don’t want to! The decisions are already gut-churning for me, as it is. I’ve been watching movies to keep my mind off the whole thing. =/

Oh, by the way, you mentioned mobile phones, and it just came to my mind. Guys watch this movie … *Into the Wild/I :P

P.S. its this story of a guy who graduated from Emory. Makes it hell a lot more interesting. Ha ha! :D

i think everybody will post … either way. i mean what else can we do.

i have started the download talha. I dont know how how i keep missing sean penn movies. perhaps because he writes more than he acts.
