The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2013

^ :frowning: the light is gone…nothing else to do, friends all preparing for aga khan test.

If doing it with Asif Zardari is what it takes to get into your dream college, would you?

I wouldn’t. Scarred for life vs Dream College. Easy decision for me

People, as long as we are on page 69, lets make the most lewd jokes possible, or will that be frowned upon by the cultured Pakistani CC community?
@joiya550
I don’t know man. I just might

He’d probably steal your every penny, make sure you leave your wallet at home

Advice heeded.

Bacha: Today, the teacher asked a question in class and I was the only one who knew the answer.

Mum(filled with pride): Mashallah! What was the question?

Bacha: Blackboard kay paas kiss nay poty kee hai?

I’m going offline now.
People please, as long as we’re on page 69, try to include as much sexual innuendo and bathroom humor in your posts as possible.
After a few weeks, when we’re on page 200 or something, we can talk about how awesome page 69 was. Make this page the stuff of legend!!!

To be honest, I don’t see the point of lewd jokes! Sorry. =/

So everyone forgot to welcome/thank Hussain

WELCOME HUSSAIN!

Ooops! WELCOME HUSSAIN!

Wow…thanks Hussain for knocking on our doors. Some of us could really use some help (either in gapping or understanding rejection letters). Hope to you see you a lot here!

@Hussain87: I got 100% FA (~48k)but it doesn’t cover personal expenses, books, stationary etc. How much money should I budget for these and other incidentals?

@joiya550

Do you know Taha Nabi, Ahsan Chima, and Shahid Bosan?

@determined8899, @Hunter: I didn’t mean to offend anybody. Just thought that maybe the guy wasn’t counting his blessings enough. Perhaps I was wrong. He really seems to be one who has made the most of the opportunities available to him. Even given average ECs and above-average essays, he should get in at least one Ivy league, maybe a Cornell or a Columbia. Let’s hope for the Harvards, tho.

If Babson and Drake can make the cut, so can MVILLE!!! Here we go…

???

@ Thegame

it seems to me that he surely will get into one… BEST of LUCK determined8899. and do pray for us as well!

@ theGame: Thanks for bringing this up. I think my answer might help everyone out.

Personal expenses: varies alot, basically depends upon your living style, travelling, clubbing, drinking etc.

books: First, try not to buy the books before the actual classes start, professors tend to assign maximum number of books especially incase of liberal arts courses, most of the assigned books are not relevant and you can breeze away the course without buying them. Second, try to buy books through amazon which can save you ALOT of money. Many students don’t buy books through amazon in their freshmen semester, they however start buying from amazong sooner or later. Books from the university bookstore may cost you around $300-600/ semester.

Travelling: this is one of the things you’ll be spending alota money. I came to Pakistan every year in winters (never come back in summers, 4 months is hell lota time to waste). Average fare in the winters is between $1500-1900. Be ready to spend that once a year.

Starbucks: If you’r not into coffee, get ready to be a part of the coffee culture. This is one of the things the university should include in the overall expenses. I got hooked on coffee in my freshmen year, i was almost spending $1000 a month on it. It’s an expensive addiction. Try to avoid as much as u can. ha ha!

Let me know if there is any other question!

@Hunter: Let’s predict, shall we? You go first.
