first post at CC :P

O Lvls 9 A’s
AS 4 A’s

SAT I = 2050
SAT II = 2360 (800 Maths 800 Phy 760 Chem)

Anyways my college admissions :stuck_out_tongue:
MIT - Rejected
Carleton - Waitlisted
Arcadia University - Accepted with 21k scholarship
Illinois Wesleyan university - Accepted with 30k scholarship
Gettysburg - Rejected
University of Montana - Accepted and hope to get 13.5k Scholarship

I’m wondering if I should have applied to more top colleges…

yai! my advice was followed. Colored entries!! Good luck for tonight everyone

Welcome to CC, naminator! Your college choices may sound weird to some of us, but believe me, it’s much better to apply with sense to a few good LACs than to apply dreamily to the Ivy league. I knew I stood a “note” chance at the Ivies so I opted for this approach:

ED 1
Gettysburg C - Accepted

EA
Beloit C - Withdrawn
Kalamazoo C - Wait-listed(!)

ED II
Sarah Lawrence C - didn’t apply

RD
Trinity U - Withdrawn
DePauw U - Withdrawn
Earlham C - didn’t apply
Hampshire C - didn’t apply
Manhattanville C - withdrawn
St. Lawrence U - didn’t apply
Colorado C - didn’t apply
Whitman C - didn’t apply

Now, people might have a lot to say about the funkiness of this list but does it matter? If you get in with good aid, nobody pays too much attention to the name game. Ivy league is not the end of the world - or the start of it, so to speak.

Colgate-Accepted
Middlebury-Waitlisted
Carleton-Waitlisted
Wash U-Waitlisted
Grinnell-Waitlisted
Smith-Rejected
UChicago-Rejected
Stanford-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Seems like a joke now.

Colgate is a good deal, bro. You don’t need Stanford anymore  ;)

Colgate economics better than LUMS economics? I’m into LUMS cuz I got a 21+ SAT(da good days :'() and was exempted frm da lcat…colgate over lums? Plus i’m worried about the diversity scene at Colgate…

Early Decision

366 enrolled

Multicultural students (I wonder what this means)

173 enrolled

International students

36 enrolled (5% of class)

Colgate is pretty average when it comes to diversity. Of course 5% is insignificant, but it’s average.

Overall Colgate is a great school (although it reminds me of toothpaste:D), congrats!

^Lol me too
Yeah I read an article yesterday which said Colgate is full of rich, white kids, and drinkin can be a prob :expressionless:
Im definitely reserved, and scared of being a social outcast dere :|

So guys ivies’ decisions coming out at 3 am, right? Good luck to us all :)

All the best evryone!!
Umm any idea about Stanford’s decisions? (:

Thanks!! Yup I have 3 decisions due tonight! :expressionless:
Oh and add Amherst to LGS DHA too xD We on a roll this time

Of course man. You’re comparing a local landmark to an international monument. Everyone has heard of Colgate because it’s our favorite toothpaste while no one in the reaches of civilization knows LUMS outside Pakistan  While LUMS Engineering has world-class faculty, MIT-formulated courses and Harvard-can’t-compete-with Sci Labs, Economics is a relatively tame affair there. The rejects from ACF flock onto the Economics scene, so you will find neither the awesome facilities of Colgate nor the genuinely interested students in Econ. As for being a social outcast, you can always fight the first impressions and built friendships through common interests. That is what leaning ought to be all about in the first place.

^^ That was definitely helpful…and motivating! Thanks! Btw, reactions of people scare me sometimes too…what most ppl usually do after hearin of colgate is…laugh…but employers will understand the worth of the education right?

^^ Yep Lums surely has MIT people working there…some of my uncle’s friends from MIT work there. But I’ve heard that politics there is unbelievable and many of them are disappointed by what they’ve seen, such as the jealousy of SSE because of the huge amount of funding they have etc etc.

@whenwillitend : Ofcourse LGS is on a roll, after all those world and Pakistan tops in O level :D

see i told u id win

MINE Hhahahaha

EDIT: GOD I was SOOOOOOOOOO close

EDIT: NO,Mine lol

EDIT: Thats bad sportsmanship Karpov…tchh.tchh

mine!
hahaha
