Hearing about the LUMS letters has made me nervous…So MUCH SO THAT I FARTED! LOL. JK…Or was I? Anyways, any news on when overseas Pakistanis are supposed to receive them? What say you, @talaltq? I forgot, did you apply to LUMS?

yup he applied .

Couldn’t agree more with mushoo’s post 1239…I am watching Lost these days though…Its good…but not really great…anyone following Heroes? I stopped watching it because of time constraints a year ago…There is one drama though that I will remember forever…Its BOSTON LEGAL…Alan Shore’s acting is phenomenal…He is better than Hugh Laurie at capturing certain nuances of acting…Laurie’s acting at times seems one dimensional…Alan Shore is anything but that…Hugh Lauri once said during Golden Globe awards that he had put his money on Alan Shore…However, both are without any doubt, the best actors of their generation…Another drama that i used to watch a while back was Prison Break, …only due to Michael Schoefield though…

I started watching House around one year ago. My cousin had recommended it to me. House is in a way related to Boston Legal. At first glance the two dramas couldn’t be more different. One is about Law and the other one is about Medicine. What really caught my attention though was how similar their lead actors were in certain aspects. Both deeply revered their line of profession. Both wanted to help people, but in their own ways. Both were deeply troubled by their own situation. Both had zero respect for their bosses. Perhaps my words just cannot do justice to these actors.
As for FRIENDS, it is one of those dramas that i will probably remember forever. Still cannot forget that epi THE ONE WHERE THEY ARE NAP PARTNERS. I stopped watching it two years ago, but restarted it only a few days back.

WOW, smart people can even discuss TV shows in paragraphs, gosh! :P

@Mohammadeht: Yesh I obviously did, why else would you have found me on the LUMS fanpage? Anyway, you should email LUMS :)

wow thats a nice list of universities present - surprising to see not many people for purdue which apparenty has a big pakistani population…

hummm, @talaltq. Are you Talal Tashfeen (or Tafsheen) because I was talking to a person with that name??? And could you post a link of the LUMS fan page so I can join too?

@mohammad: Funny how we keep having the same discussion on facebook AND CC yeah that’s me, and it’s Talal Tashfeen -_-
lol you are ALREADY on it haha =P

got in lums for social sciences.

Congratulations, Maheen! Which major? What have you decided now?
I have a feeling I made a mistake by not choosing a second preference :|

Btw, when did you find out? I’m asking because people found out about admissions around two days ago, and if you got your TCS today, there’s still hope for an early decision for me! :P

Congtraz!!

i didnt even choose second preference :/

Congrats Maheen11… =D

@talaltq and @Dark_Angel I DID select a second choice but it’s not getting in to LUMS which is important. It’s getting to study what I want to which is important.

Economics. Thanks. I live in sialkot.
I got it by post today. I am still bent on US. Lets see.

@mohammadeht: I’m pretty interested in Economics too, and could have but didn’t, blaaah! :P

@Maheen: You are welcome. All the best for the US Visa; LUMS is a valuable backup! I hope I get either of the Canadian visa or the LUMS admission Ameen! :)

Thanks. InshALLAH!

so where have all of u decided to go to for uni?

@Maheen11 What did you take? The SAT or the LCAT? Because, as much as I have noticed, only those who took the LCAT/SSE have gotten the results.

@Maheen11 Anyways good luck with whatever you decide to do…

@FoodScience7 Just a second…See my next post…
