@TiTan666, I actually received no aid from Mac (apparently they think I’m too rich). But I know one of the girls accepted from Lyceum got Aid worth around 20k. Grinnell gave me an Aid package of around 28k (hoping that my dad is willing to pay the rest).

@TiTaN666, I’m very seriously considering Grinnell… It’s such a remarkable school… Do you know anyone else going? It all depends on my parents though. They aren’t too excited about sending me to a school they’ve never heard of before. I wonder if other LAC applicants are facing the same problem.

@bluelovexD, Hello Nice to see you too. Maybe it seems that way, but I guess it’s because there are already quite a few KGS students at these colleges, so accepting Lyceumites increases diversity or something. Either way, we’re very happy this year .

Also, just to add to the list. Someone from Lyceum got into NYU early, someone else into Urbana Champaign, someone else to Ohio Wesleyan (with some Aid) and someone to DePauw University (with a scholarship… I don’t remember exactly how much but I think it was around 15k).

oh, and you guys will be shocked to hear this, but someone from Southshore got into Northwestern (she’s really smart apparently, idk why she’s in southshore :P).

I’m in the same boat as you. Waitlisted by Reed (that’s 4 waitlists for me now ). I guess it would be delusional to expect anything better from the ivies now. Sigh. My only hope now is Amherst.

^ After getting rejections from all my safeties, I am pretty much out of hope.
It’s not even sad or depressing any more- it’s just plain funny. XD

Talk about tuft’s syndrome.
Ok, call me obnoxious but I wouldn’t lose all hope yet for tom if I were you.
Just read about too many ppl, both US citizens and intls who fell victim to that epidemic! Most prolly, I think getting rejected/Waitlisted from all the small unis means either they didn’t have enough aid to give you OR they think you’re too good for them and wouldn’t attend anyway!
Crossing my fingers here and hoping the latter’s true for all of you!
