Did I mention I want to play lacrosse at UCSD?

Ya sometimes I secretly hope cal rejects me so I don’t have to make the decision… Others times I feel like I will die if I don’t get in…

hmm…a friend just said he felt like going somewhere this weekend and i suggested cal, so now i’m apparently going to berkeley on sunday :]

It was simple for me… I just went on that americorps portal thing and filled out the form to have them send the award to MJC… Than I just called the first week of the semester to confirm they had it… Than I got one check for half after the first few weeks and the second half halfway through. I think the trick is to talk to the least amount of people as possible…
A friend of mine who goes to the other CC said he went to the fin aid office to ask about it and the lady made it seem like it was a complicated process and that he was going to have to show proof of where the money was going and blah blah blah…
Ya it was awesome my teammates were all pretty jealous!

@ lomkh: Nice man! I’m sure you’ll love it. Berkeley is so great. I’ve never been on a weekend though :/. Ahh I see, yeah it would make sense for you to double major. I may do the same with psych and social welfare. We’ll see in the fall though. Anyway, even with 45 AP credits, that’s really impressive. Good luck!

I’d like to play some sort of sport. Right now I am in a kickball league which is AMAZINGLY fun!

I just got an email from UCSB saying I was admitted to the EOP program! Sweet! :)

"Dear Evan,

Congratulations on your admission to the University of California, Santa Barbara. We are happy to offer you enrollment in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), a program much loved and utilized by UCSB students! From the day you arrive to the day you graduate, EOP staff will mentor and advise you on resources, opportunities, class level considerations, major, requirements, leadership and preparation for graduate study or career. "

Doesn’t want to make me go there any more than before I received the email, but it’s still nice to know the option is there!

<------ Wishing he signed up for EOP.

Congrats evan! That’s huge man! Damn, I’m still sitting on my sole UCSC acceptance and waiting for the real stuff to come already lol!

Ya 45 AP credits is quite impressive anyways…
Lol if Berkeley looked at
my senior grades they’d really see an upward trend… My GPA was like a 1.7 when I graduated or something… I think my report card was like adult living:B. Leadership: F. Journalism: F. Government: C. English: D. Econ: D

OMG me too!!! and they have EMERGENCY GRANTS!!! for books!!

UCSB ur making it tough for me to say no to you.

I’m praying (and I’m atheist, so it’s a big deal) that I am offered EOP at every school I’m admitted. I am part of the program at SD City College, and it’s been great! I can only imagine the benefits I would reap at a big school like UCLA, UCSD, UCSB or Berkeley!

@ jane: laker says that he forgives you for getting him banned twice lmao. Apparently even his IP address is banned from CC lol. He says he “forgives you because he’s nice as well.”

Wait wait wait wait wait…lol. What is EOP at Berkeley? How does one get EOP status?? lol.

lol what did laker do to get banned
