In the graphic novel, the two walkers on leashes are her zombified boyfriend and his best friend.

I don’t know how I’m going to wait until Season 3! LOVED the finale. Seeing the leashed walkers was awesome. And I thought walking my cats around on leashes was weird, lol. Interestingly, I never liked Darryl but as this season progressed I’ve grown to really like him :)

Really? It seems like a terrible way to treat your zombie boyfriend - dragging him around on a leash, especially when he HAS NO ARMS! Heh. I think I’m going to like this new person.

I never liked Darryl until this season, either. I just think he grows on you!

Just stumbled acorss this show and had not idea it was based on novels…How many r there? Do you recommend them?

I did not want the episode to end…I hated Loris reaction and just wanted Rick to go off on her!

?..Who was driving the RV that didn’t make it? I just can’t recall a cast member that fit that description??

The RV driver was Jimmy, a young man that was staying on Hershel’s farm. Not much is known about him since there was never really any story line that focused on him.

Lori behaviour is a bit annoying and quite contradictory. In just an episode back, she seemed to have been an instigator who seemed to have given Rick all the motivation needed to confront Shane and seemingly pushed Rick to harm Shane. Then when Rick was faced with either kill or be killed, she seemed to recoil and ridicule Rick as if she has some sort of feelings for Shane and have not completely upfront emotionally with Rick and herself all these times about her feelings for Shane.

Thanks TT…I just couldn’t remember him and thought I was missing something, ha!

I completely agree with your thoughts on Lori!

Here’s another thing that REALLY bugs me about Lori: She never knows where her son Carl is. You’re living in a post-apocalyptic world filled with man-eating zombies, and yet your kid is ALWAYS wandering off to get into trouble. Wouldn’t you try to keep an eye on him? A few weeks ago, Carl stole Daryl’s gun, stumbled upon a walker, started throwing rocks at him, got spooked, and dropped the gun. Later that walker killed Dale.

And then on Sunday’s episode, in the heat of the zombie battle, she can’t find her kid again? Quit mooning after Shane and Rick!

faithfirst2226… in response to your question, yes the graphic novel is really good. There are 90+ issues and you can buy them individually or in collected editions. If you have an iPad (Kindle, etc), purchase the series and read them that way or purchase at bookstores in the graphic novel section.

scout59… that was a prison we saw at the end of the episode. In his big speech at the end, Rick mentions to the group that they’ll need to find a “place to hole up… a fortress…” or something to that effect. So next season, the group will be moving into the prison.

Wow! This episode was amazing! I agree with many posters that Michonne’s entrance was the most powerful image of the whole season.

So how does she keep her chained zombies from attacking her?

Michonne cut off their arms and lower jaws so they cannot bite her and she drags them around with her because the scent of the dead acts as a deterrent to other zombies.

Aha! Thanks for the info. I will have to look at their faces to see what the mouth area looks like… I realized they had no arms, but didn’t see any distortion in their faces.

Maybe I’ll read the graphic novels while waiting for the next season. Does the show stay true to them?

(On a related note, my son has always been a big fan of the books that Game of Thrones is based on. He said that they stayed pretty close to the book for the first season, but he sees no way that they can do that this year because of the big shift in characters in the books.)

“Here’s another thing that REALLY bugs me about Lori: She never knows where her son Carl is.”

I’m not a fan of Lori either… OR Carl. Though he’s just a kid, I really wish someone would put a leash on him!

College Humor just posted an article “10 Reasons Why The Walking Dead Should Just Kill Carl” addressing this very issue. Funny stuff.

Whoooo, boy we just watched the finale last night. We always seem to watch while eating dinner. Not a good plan.

:)

I think it’s truly hilarious the way Lori never has any idea where Carl is, especially given her criticisms of Andrea a few episodes ago for spending too much time standing guard, and not enough helping Lori do laundry and wash dishes while letting the men do the protecting. For such an exponent of traditional values, she certainly doesn’t spend much time watching her kid.

But I’m sure Dale and Shane were very grateful that at least they were wearing clean socks when they died.

I really liked Andrea’s run through the woods, killing zombies along the way.

Question: how in the world do you ever run out of gas in a world with millions of abandoned cars just sitting along every road and highway?

Fans of Walking Dead and Mad Men will love this :D.

Patsmom, I was going to post the same thing! It’s HILARIOUS!!!

:)

Watched “The Walking Dead” marathon this weekend and the companion show “Talking Dead” - just FYI, Daryl’s brother Merle WILL return next season.

It’s back! Did anyone watch last night?

No spoilers here - but those of you who were disappointed in Season Two’s lack of zombies should be pretty happy with the start of Season Three!

^^ patsmom, thanks for the youtube link. Hilarious.

We love this dumb show in our house. Oddly relaxing, always sleep well after watching. So strange.
