Agree. There were main shots of Dustin Hoffman in the audience. I was thinking, boy, he doesn’t look so goos. And then I googled and saw he is 82 years old now. He looks his age, so no wonder. I think we forget that they are aging as are we. I can’t imagine living with the constant scrutiny being in the public eye and vying for roles as a movie star. I’ll cut them all slack because whether they get work done or not, they’ll always be scrutinized regardless.
Tell the truth, I haven’t really followed her over the years, @milgymfam , I just always thought she had a round face. The Oscars shot I saw her in, she looked fantastic. It’s not just thin, but ultra fit. Those arms are not easy to get so lean and muscled for women without a lot of work. I don’t understand why the whole plastic surgery speculation is such a thing with her. She looks fine, she looks natural, and who cares if she got a bit of this and that over the years, or not? I’m guessing about 99% of the Hollywood ladies do, who intend to stay in the business.
@busdriver11 I actually don’t care at all if she had plastic surgery or didn’t, if she’s thin or heavy or fit or anything else. I just don’t like her acting. At all.
Not sure if you’re talking about my post, but if so, you don’t think Rene looks fit? At least on my iPhone, wow, I’m jealous. If you’re not impressed with her physique, you have a tough standard to meet.
I love all the plastic surgery and wig speculation. You people crack me up.
@Knowsstuff Marriage Story is the only big movie I saw this year (loved Hair Love though!). I only watched it because of all the buzz. I was all, “I don’t get it” in the beginning. But I’m stubborn and stuck with it because I just knew it had to get better. I will say that Laura Dern was good, and that I didn’t start to really feel for the characters until things got brutally ugly. I guess I’m glad I stuck with it. The scene where they really turn on each other was gut-wrenching, but that’s where I finally started to care.
For those of you who enjoyed Cynthia Erivo’s performance last night. I first heard her in this tribute to Prince from the Broadway cast of The Color Purple:
She’s always been very fit and very thin, exceptions being when she played Bridget Jones. For those films, she gained weight but remained very fit (her legs were very muscular and toned in Bridget Jones).
She was thin and fit before her faced changed (see Chicago) and very thin and fit after.
I don’t care if she’s had work (I work in a plastic surgery OR and my guess is a definite yes). If she’s lying about it, that makes her just like 90% of people who have work done. Meh.
