Odds on a prenup: I’d say 99.9%. I don’t know Florida divorce law. But I also suspect that there might be, in this case, hush money.

From the Buffet story link. I actually know three different “thruples” similar to the below. All of the partners know what’s going on. It wouldn’t be my thing, but to each his/her own…

“Mr Buffett’s Latvian-born bride, Astrid Menks, is 60 to her husband’s 76. The pair have been living together since the late 1970s. Nothing unusual about that, except that Mr Buffett had an apparently close and loving marriage to another woman, Susan, until her death in 2004. The trio even sent out Christmas cards signed “Warren, Susie and Astrid”.”

31 months…ouch.
IMO, if this guy wants privacy, he should have been a LOT more careful about his private life. I know there are celebrities who go to great lengths to keep their lives private and stay away from the tabloids and spotlight. It all starts with what you do. And sorry, carrying on with a LA cocktail waitress doesn’t quite cut it for a married celebrity with small children. Figure it out Tiger.
The thing about Tom Brady. Hey, everyone is different. If he needs to block everything out during the season, so be it. The wife HAD to know that before she married him. Her choice. He might want to hold off on having kids though…the fb season is LONG.

This link indicates, according to UPI, the Woods did sign a prenuptial agreement.

[Blog Chez Jacq’](http://chezjacq.com/weblog/2004_10_03_archive.htm)

Ya if the 31 months is accurate- I say dump him, because he has a lot more problems than he is ready to fix.

He knew that he would be found out eventually- everyone is & he is far from stupid- but he is dumb & he is a coward.

Doesn’t Brady already have at least one child by an actress he ditched? Re: Brady-ridiculous. If he can’t handle real life beyond sports, that is sad. A person can certainly exceed in sports at a high level and still be a human being! Many are doing it!

There’s also the AIG stuff with Greenburg.

I owned Berkshire for a while and it was a great performer but owning it also meant following Buffett and the company closely and there were some chinks in the armor.

Too late, Toneranger, believe Brady had a baby BEFORE he married~ Hey, these ARE modern times!

I’ve never understood why there are women who would throw themselves at these guys. What are they hoping to get? A diamond bracelet? Ability to tell their friends about it? What low self-esteem a woman must have, or be so incredibly self-absorbed. I must be really naive.

Sounds like a really bad movie!

But for me, the absolute dumbest guy when it came to chasing around girls at the worst time was Bill Clinton when he was POTUS. To put the respect accorded to and the reputation of the Presidential office in the hands of a young-20s girl?

31 months would put the start of the affair sometime right after his father died. Wow–I can’t believe his dad would be pleased at all…

So what if many athletes can multi-task during the season. Brady is saying that he can’t. If you don’t like it, don’t marry him! Oh wait- he didn’t ask you.

A lot of men are self centered and self absorbed when it comes to work. At least sports stars have an off-season…

Thank goodness, mowc, Hope his young son understands his inability to multitask during his precious season! and his supermodel girlfriend does as well!

So, what is the consensus if there was a Tiger-Elin pre-nup? Some that I have seen actually address infidelity by either or both spouses.

If the parties before marriage contemplated that there might be infidelity after marriage and expressly provided for the “cost” of infidelity, seems an argument can be made that it is less of “an offense” against the non-cheating spouse. Cold comfort to the kids of the marriage, in any event.

I seem to recall Shaq had the Missus take a little daliance a while back.

Ha! Talk about poetic justice! Just saw on ESPN.com that Brady’s wife is expecting their baby in December! Here’s hoping its on a Sunday afternoon and he has the decency to show up!

[Tom Brady baby: New England Patriots QB confirms Gisele Bundchen pregnancy - ESPN](<a href=“Mathews, Chandimal in solid century stand as Sri Lanka go 89 ahead - ESPN”>Tom Brady baby: New England Patriots QB confirms Gisele Bundchen pregnancy - ESPN)

A lot of men are self centered and self absorbed when it comes to work.

And some of us were very young when we fell in love and married our husbands and those qualities were not yet as obvious as they became later.
You also might expect that the interests of a single man, would change with marriage and a family but not for the self absorbed I guess.

I have one acquaintance who has been married three times,
she says first husband was to test out ( the institution I guess), the second was to breed, & the third is to keep.
;)

I lived with mine for quite a while before we got married- but still anytime you get married before you are 25 it is too young!
( If I had kids with my starter husband, does that mean I earned credits toward my keeper?)

* But the bottom line is that men are cheating on their wives primarily for sexual reasons, while women are cheating on their husbands mainly for emotional reasons. *

but that doesnt explain why the women men often seem to be “cheating” with are less attractive/intelligent & more crazy than their sig others.

I realize that money/power buy more in the looks dept for a mistress- but still I think it applies.

Come to think of it I guess a lot of men work all the time at the expense of their families and partners. I’m thinking lawyers trying to make partner, doctors who are residents etc but I would like to believe that when they do come home after a long day and on the weekends they have time and energy to give their families.

If Tom Brady has no time or energy for his wife/family from July-Jan than I think he should stay single. But it is his wife’s decision I guess to be a single parent.

Well, the women who they are cheating ON probably aren’t going to settle for being a mistress. I mean, by nature, you’re trading down in that position. Extremely attractive and intelligent and sane women just don’t have to DO that kind of thing.

I can’t imagine the pre-nup will “hold” in the case of infedelity. It’s one thing to say, “You can’t marry me just for my money.” I doubt any woman would agree to, “Well, you can do whatever you want and I’ll just be okay with that.” It’d be insanity. Of course, some women can be idiots.

An argument is that the male marries for the qualities (attractivenesses, smart and stable) to pass on to his kids. Sexual inventiveness, willingness and pure “talent” may come into play more with the selection of “the other woman.” So I’ve heard.

Oh, yes a pre-nup can be enforced that addresses infidelity. And, it is often the woman that strays due to emotional abandonment when the man gets the “perfect kids” and loses himself back into his career.

BTW__it is estimated that 1 out of 10 children born in marriages is not the child of the husband.
