Lindbergh had several families he supported.

And I would not doubt for a minute that “during season” Tom Brady would think it perfectly ok to have hook ups with anyone because that is what he “needs” to be successful on the field and afterall being successful on the field is all that matters because that is what puts food on the table for his family.

I remember that James Worthy of the LA Lakers used to entertain two hookers at a time in his hotel room before a big game to help him relax. This while his wife and child remained at home.

I just heard on the radio the voicemail that Tiger allegedly left for the woman with the 300 text messages. He said his wife found his phone and went through it, saw the calls to/from her and was probably going to call her. He needed this woman to “do him a big favor” and change her phone setting so that only her number would show up and not her name or something like that. “If you could do me this one big favor”

Didn’t sound at all to me like someone who realized they made a mistake and was sorry for it…

In regards to the Pre-Nup, here is the latest scoop. It looks like Tiger wants Elin to stay and he is going to have to pay!!! At least they are working it out with counseling, although a seven figure payout helps. He probably asked her if she wanted some bling, but being the pragmatic Swede, she said “I will take the cash, Thank you.”

[Woods, wife in intense marriage counseling :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Bill Zwecker](http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/zwecker/1916410,zwecker-tiger-woods-marriage-elin-prenup-120209.article)

^^Sounds to me like someone who knows his wife is going to hit the ceiling when she finds out that her suspicions are true…

Don’t you love incentive clauses!!! Elin was to get $20 million if the marriage lasted 10 years and that money amount is GOING UP and the “stay married” time is going down.

Ah, capitalism. We don’t have anything to worry about the Chinese catching up with us on this stuff.

busyparent, you don’t know anything about Tom Brady other than his public image, so I don’t know how you can be so sure he would think it “perfectly okay” to cheat. That’s a crazy statement, and you wrote it like it’s fact, not just your opinion… and your opinion based on what? The last 3 dinner engagements you had with the man? Just like none of knows anything about Tiger Woods other than his public image, and a month ago, 99% of the public would have thought that the squeaky clean image reflected the true man.

sevmom you sound like you have personal issues with Tom Brady. Do you know him? Are you a Steelers or Colts fan?? Who are you to judge anything about his life and whether the decision his “supermodel” girlfriend made to marry him was right or wrong, or what she knew or didn’t know before marrying him?

I can’t stand it when people judge public figures without knowing the PERSON. Countless times we think we “know” the person and find out that that “knowledge” (based solely on newspaper articles, magazine articles, and television appearances) is completely false. No one in this world is perfect (Mother Theresa died) so don’t make assumptions about someone’s life and values when you don’t know the person.

The problem with those “if the marriage lasts X years, then the wife gets Y dollars” clauses is that there is an incentive for the men to divorce their wives during that last year. You can almost predict it…

But perhaps in this case, the wife will be the one doing the leaving when her time is up and her payout “vests.”

Well, even Mother Theresa wasn’t "perfect’ when she was younger. Apparently she struggled with lack of faith, judgementalism, and particularly when she was young, a type of arrogance about herself vs. the other nuns.

Of course, I have no opinion about what Tiger and his wife want to do with themselves. Obviously he would like to avoid being chased by a woman with a golf club and she would like him to avoid chasing after other women with his golf clubs.

Personally, money or no, I’d be out of there. But that’s just me.

ellemnope-- Tom Cruise regularly divorces his wife right before the incentive clause kicks in.

I think I’d wait till my 20 mil vests…actually 20 mil was the old lower number…

guitarist’s mom-thanks for asking-I’m a Steelers fan! Doesn’t have much to do with this discussion.

Yep–but it is an incentive for the “little woman” to stick around if hubby gets caught practicing his stroke on holes at unauthorized courses, no matter how much it Tee’s her off, to use golf lingo.

And I’ve seen cases where smart women have added “bonus clauses” for each child (of the marriage). Gotta get compensated for the damage to the ole svelte figure.

The article talked about several therapy sessions a day at their home. Is that considered best practice for this type of thing? Seems like way more talking about it than I’d be able to do at first.

Not making any judgement but I can’t help but wonder if it’s posturing on his part to make it look like he’s making a sincere effort to right things. Maybe some of what they’re calling therapy sessions are actually negotiations on money and pre-nup considering Elin’s seven figures to stay is already in an account with just her name on it.

Well sevmom and guitarist’s mom, I’m a Saints fan and have to admit that I really enjoyed the befuddled look on Tom Brady’s face Monday night! I’m not really interested in Brady’s marriage but had to toss that out there.

sevmom - well that explains it. Your posts about Brady are dripping with irrational venom!

Just the facts. I wish you/him well.

Girl FIGHT!!! Enough with FOOTBALL.

Let’s get back to dishing dirt on Tiger and Elin and the on-going financial and marital negotiations/counseling going on THIS VERY MINUTE as we speak.

What will Nancy Grace have to say??? Surely, she’ll have an “expert” on pre-nups.

But, hasn’t this now become a post-nup? Is there such a thing?

I don’t know. I married a poor man right out of college.

Just so I understand the facts as you see them, sevmom, the guy is a monster for supporting his child that his ex-girlfriend had (revealing the pregnancy after they had already broken up) and for getting married to someone new (a beautiful model) while playing a high level sport and being singleminded about his profession. With the added fact that both women knew exactly what they were getting into having dated the guy during several football seasons. Is that about it? He should have married the ex (who he didn’t love) when he found out she was pregnant? Is that the only way a young man can be upstanding in your eyes? What if your son was in a similar situation? Glad you aren’t judgmental or blinded by your support of a professional football team.

We digress, thread, sorry - back to Tiger. I reiterate my contention that public figures are never who we think they are, and we think we know them when we definitely do not.

In your opinion. I was married at 23. Did not live together first. It’s been over 30 years. Best decision I ever made.
