<p>I feel very sorry for Elin. It is terrible to have a spouse cheat. This is magnified by the fact that he has done so multiple times their entire marriage, a young marriage no less and during pregnancies, and that it is all very very public. I can’t imagine the pain and how she’d be with him after all these revelations.</p>

<p>Good for Elin if indeed she is leaving. She was pretty much forced into this by the cascade of stories about new mistresses, and the very detailed information by the one mistress is hard to get past. It’s beyond humiliating and leaves virtually no chance for future marital success. Her husband is a real scumbag–no getting around that.</p>

<p>Elin’s father is not a diplomat but is the current Bureau Chief for Swedish Broadcasting in Washington and White House correspondent. Elin’s mother was Cabinet Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Swedish government for a number of years.</p>

<p>I really wonder why those women come forward to give all of those details. They must realize how much it is hurting the wife and probably children later.
