Tiger Woods

The “other” woman has hired Gloria Allred. She tried to reach Garagos, but I guess Allred responded first. Why the high profile lawyers for a denial?

Here is my story and I am sticking to it! (TIGER!!! GO WITH THIS, TRUST ME!!)

12:15 Friday morning Tiger gets an emergency phone call from his investment manager telling him that Dubai is near default. Tiger has $2.5 billion in Dubai investments (golf courses, hotels, skyscrapers, etc) and is facing financial ruin!! Distraught he races out of his house (originally valued at $10mm but due to the real estate bust now valued at a paltry $2mm) to meet with his financial team… but Tiger in his haste and distress… crashes into a tree. :(

Hello this is OnStar, how can I help you?

omg! Didn’t he do an OnStar commercial where they unlock his doors remotely and he implies otherwise would have smashed the windows with a golf club? Talk about irony!

Isn’t he also the spokesmen for Buick, not Cadillac?

Yes, all GM cars have OnStar, at least as an option, often standard. Buick is a GM brand.

So based on a story by the National Enquirer, whose source is no doubt the same aliens they claim are walking among us and/or the baboon that the woman in Phoenix gave birth to, everyone seems to think they know exactly what happened here. Interesting. Woods and his wife have been notoriously private before this incident, so not giving a statement isn’t shocking. Suppose there is something they want to keep private that happened, but it has nothing to do with any affair. At the same time he certainly doesn’t want to lie to the police in an official statement. These statements have to be made public. So why talk if he doesn’t have to? He has nothing to gain in any case.

As far as the “other” woman getting a high profile attorney, that is just smart given the smarmy level of discourse about this incident, which the discussion on this site id proving well enough. It also could mean she is preparing a lawsuit against the National Enquirer. Or maybe she is a shameless publicity seeker, or maybe maybe maybe…

Those of you assuming Woods must be guilty of adultery should be ashamed of yourselves, you know absolutely nothing that would support that.

Quite a bit of schadenfreude here. We know we shouldn’t gossip, but it’s just so delicious to speculate…

I wouldn’t be a famous person for any amount of money.

This thread is probably the stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life.

I know that when weird things happen in the middle of the night there usually is a BAD reason behind it. He should just have said he was drunk.

Of course he doesn’t want to face the press and answer the tough questions, as LGM suggested, ** Why is Tiger Woods driving a CADILLAC ??? **

I just don’t understand why he doesn’t just come clean on this one…

1) He cheated on his wife (ok, it’s not good, but it happens)
2) She was really p*ssed, so she took a couple swings at him (not so cool, but we could relate)
3) In order to give each other some space, he left in a hurry, he was so upset so he accidentally hit a tree and a fire hydrant (I have hit my mail box because I was so mad at H)

Resolution - go for marriage counseling and wife goes for anger management. This would all be over and done with in a week.

oh come ON, you guys – do you hear yourselves? This is all just ugly and salacious speculation. I’m surprised at all of you. Sorry, it’s giving me a really bad taste in my mouth.

The operative word here is the first one: ASSUMING. This is all just ‘assuming’. I remember something someone said when I was just a kid: The word ‘assume’ just makes an ass out of u and me.

Gosh, I clicked on this thread thinking there would be expressions of concern and sympathy for Tiger and his family, but that is not what is going on here. I would hope that people would say – if there is trouble in this family AND NOBODY KNOWS IF THERE IS OR NOT (nobody knows if there was cheating, nobody knows if there is violence or anger, nobody knows ANYTHING AT ALL about what really happens inside anyone else’s marriage in fact) that we are praying and rooting for them. There are little kids involved here. Holy moly.

It is serious and not funny. The tone here is…icky.

(Tmac18, I have to agree with you)

“I just don’t understand why he doesn’t just come clean on this one…”

Maybe there are more problems than we’re imagining. Maybe, for instance, she knocked out his teeth with the club. After all, the police report said he was bleeding from the mouth.

I admit that I have schadenfreude. I feel sorrier for John and Jane Q Public who get into these kind of situations than for people who are living the lifestyles of the rich and famous who do stupid things.

Okay - let’s give Tiger the benefit of the doubt. His wife is a hero who pulled him from the driver’s seat into the back seat and through the window. Fortunately, the rippling green muscles and flaring red eyes disappeared before the police arrived.

fallenchemist - you can’t seem to read too well. I did say

Why are people taking this so personally. Tiger and his family are no more real to us than fictional characters from Disney? People are reacting like they are some sort of personal friends. Get real, we know them because they are in Star, Enquire. By the way, that’s where I got all the news - read all of those news while waiting for my flight this weekend.

Its the woman’s fault. Doesn’t matter which one.

hypothesis:
Other woman of childbearing years (with/out spouse) sees male of desirable genes and wealth.
She makes a move on male. If successful she gets child with the genes, a shot at the wealth and the Name. If unsuccessful, she gets a good one-nighter.

The target male, succumbs to his momentary urges, thinking that spouse will never find out, afterall where’s the evidence, except for his guilty look.

Aggrieved Spouse finds out. Has a lot to lose; Wealth, status, companionship, father, etc. Views competing woman as definite threat, but can’t do anything about her. But wife can do something about the wayward man, but being too harsh on the hapless father-of-her-children, could drive him to the other woman(s).

Competition amongst women is much more dangerous than competition amongst men.

I’m with annudah and Tmac on this one. Good Lord!

Uh, what? They are a helluva lot more real to me than Snow White or Cinderella due to being, you know . . . ALIVE. And . . . REAL, ACTUAL HUMAN BEINGS. You really don’t see any distinction??

For those questioning the source, they certainly got it right on John Edwards despite the numerous denials.

Bingo, BCEagle.

If I was pg and my H was cheating on me- I would be the first to say, he better not be too attached to his paint job. ( as well as his other favorite appendages)

Barring an emergency, there’s no good reason to be leaving your house at 2:30 am in your car unless you are going to get some pistaschio ice cream and pickles for your pregnant wife.

I would have guessed that alcohol or drugs might have been involved–that’s often a reason to dodge the police for a couple of days before talking to them. But there doesn’t seem to be any scuttlebutt about driving under the influence.

I think most of the posters have been spinning crazy yarns because the situation so demands an explanation (would would be a doozy and embarrassing) and the Woods aren’t saying anything that explains any of it.

[oldfort took out her mailbox?!!]
