Tiger Woods

I can’t believe nobody’s mentioned:

that Rachel Uchitel is pretty darn hot.

that George W. Bush is responsible for planting the tree that Tiger drove into.

Will Letterman be telling any jokes about this tonight? ;)

That was my thought, BillyP, the late night guys are going to enjoy this one.

Both of my sons are avid golfers, play on the HS golf team and have been long-time fans of Tiger. I’m hoping this story just dies. He has always been such a straight arrow & terrific role model. In defense of the 2 a.m. timing, my H said when he did a lot of international travel he was often wide awake at odd times like this and can understand wanting to get out of the house. We’re giving Tiger the benefit of the doubt.

If Tiger weren’t hiding out, the public curiosity would have died long ago. His action lead people like me – who normally don’t pay attention to sports or celebrities – to wonder what he’s hiding.

"State troopers have asked to question him three times about the wreck, but he canceled the third scheduled interview on Sunday, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes told CNN.
“We have been informed by the Florida Highway Patrol that further discussion with them is both voluntary and optional,” said Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg, in a written statement. “Although Tiger realizes that there is a great deal of public curiosity, it has been conveyed to FHP that he simply has nothing more to add and wishes to protect the privacy of his family.”
Under Florida law, Woods must show his license, registration and proof of insurance to police, but is not obligated to give a statement on the crash. His attorney Mark NeJame handed over the required documents to the troopers Sunday at Woods’ home, Montes said. Opinion: Tiger Woods is only human
NeJame told CNN he stood by Woods’ statement and had no further comment.
“If we’re unable to meet with him, we’ll move on with our investigation,” Montes said. But she called the delays “very unusual, because it’s such a minor accident.”

Meanwhile, this report from the gossip site that was the first to report Michael Jackson’s death leads me to continue to speculate that his wife knocked some of Woods’ teeth out. I think that he’s planning on getting some quick dental work early this week before being in the tournament later this week.

Sources tell TMZ the Florida Highway Patrol is now focusing on obtaining a search warrant – allowing them to seize medical records from the hospital that treated Tiger Woods – in an attempt to determine if the wounds Woods sustained are consistent with a car accident or domestic violence.

I don’t believe that any judge with half a brain would approve a search warrant on the speculation and “facts” currently at hand.

The police may know more than has been revealed. Even TMZ doesn’t know everything. :)

H was no where in sight. I am not good at backing up or parallel parking, especially when I am distracted. I now have a sensor in the back of my car to let me know when I am about to hit something.

I don’t know much about laws, but could they prosecute the wife for domestic violence without Tiger filing a complaint? If not, then what would be the point?

Search Warrant?? What a laugh. Obviously they don’t teach civics any longer, there is zero probable cause and medical records are private. They would have to have some evidence, and I mean good evidence, that a crime actually occurred (no, an accident that destroys other’s property is not a crime unless there is already evidence that drugs, alcohol, something similar was involved).

Oldfort: I was responding to you post #69

I sure don’t see any disclaimer by you in there about nothing confirmed, etc. You come across as the most ignorant kind of gossip there is. Same with Northstarmom and the teeth thing. Good Lord. You people are pathetic.

If you can be a Swedish biking goddess who is breathakingly beautiful and your husband still cheats, what hope is there for normal women?

Anyone who doesn’t want to read this thread is free to not do so.

I am with you, zoosermom. No one is holding a gun to the idiot’s head to read this thread.

This is not stupid gossip, because there is a “maybe” in front of every statement? Oh, but this is ok because it’s against Tiger’s wife. But speculation on Tiger cheating on his wife…people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Letterman was smart to come clean before it blew up in the tabloids. Speculation is really what stokes the media frenzy.

To marry a normal man.

No shame here! I like Tiger, but he doesn’t walk on water. He doesn’t have to give any reasons for his actions, but IF something happened, it is better just to come clean and move on.

Kobe Bryant, anyone?

I agree with Billy Pilgram. I would not want to be married to a celebrity, billionaire, etc. I think that such men have huge egos and temptations that ordinary men don’t have.

Also, being beautiful, famous, etc. doesn’t mean that one’s mate won’t cheat. Just look at all of the beautiful celebrities whose mates have cheated on them, often with women who aren’t as good looking or famous. Then consider all of the ordinary looking and homely women who have faithful, loving husbands. Whether a man chooses to cheat depends on his character and the opportunities that are thrown at him, not the beauty or accomplishments of his wife.

I hope you have evidence of that vicious rumor.

Perhaps he was heading out to an all night jewelry store to get the Kobe ring.

“I sure don’t see any disclaimer by you in there about nothing confirmed, etc. You come across as the most ignorant kind of gossip there is. Same with Northstarmom and the teeth thing. Good Lord. You people are pathetic.”

Why are you continuing to read a thread populated by people whom you consider pathetic and ignorant gossips?

And what does it say about you that you are calling names of people whom you actually are interacting with – something that differs a great deal from the speculations people like me are making about Tiger, whom we don’t know and who is very unlikely to be reading this thread?

Realizing there have been various reports and nobody knows which ones are accurate…
The report I read said wife heard the crash and went outside, grabbed a golf club, broke a window and got him out of the car. I’m not sure I could hear a car run into the fire hydrant in front of my house if it was going less than 30 mph. Just don’t think the ‘bang’ would be that loud going that slowly.
–Guess 30 mph is the minimum speed at which the airbags deploy.
–Way too many questions, here.

Let me preface this by saying that I take no pleasure in watching Tiger fall–seems like a nice enough guy. Something I’ve been ‘chewing’ on: When famous people put themselves in the public eye do they deserve such scrutiny? Is this type of thing a chance you take, in exchange for fame? We’re not talking about a private individual here.

“When famous people put themselves in the public eye do they deserve such scrutiny? Is this type of thing a chance you take, in exchange for fame?”

Being an admired figure who’s in the public eye is a two edged sword. For people like Tiger, it brings lucrative opportunities like endorsements as well as public scrutiny. THis comes with the territory, and he and other famous people know that. If the accident had happened to John Q. Public, no one would have cared, but John Q. Public wouldn’t be a multimillionaire married to a supermodel.

Kobe ring = House on a finger.

Someone is reading the same thing I am reading.
