Tiger Woods

jym & spidey…Table for two in the gutter, please!

Only the finest… schmaltzy (and nice deflection/redirection from post # 1279. Well played. Bravo.)

Good grief - who on earth says things like this publicly?

Prediction: Tiger will professionally golf in 2010. Elin will eventually move on.

I thought CC was rated PG???

“I get that. Really, though, it is simply not natural for a healthy person to knowingly and repeatedly cause harm to their children, parent, friends, business associates, career, and health (i.e. the condom thing”

True. And from what I’ve seen and heard (and years ago, I actually took a professional educational workshop from the person who coined the term “sexual addiction”), it’s typical for sexual addicts to have other addictions… This goes with what some pundits are predicting: That the next big Tiger Woods revelation will be drug or alcohol addiction. Some are wondering if steroid use, too, is involved.

An addict is one who’ll indulge in his addiction if it’s available regardless of what the consequences are. eg. a meth addict who has access to meth isn’t going to stop. The qn. is in the last two weeks has TW (assuming nobody put a chastity belt on him) indulged himself as he did in the past several years. If the answer is no, because the world is watching him, he’s no addict - he has the ability to control himself.

^Not that simple. Some addicts can control themselves some of the time. A person can put down his substance (or in this case, activity) of choice for a while. Without treatment, the likelihood of attaining long term recovery is slim.

jym:

So true! The art of distraction!

[Report: Child Protection Investigators Called to Tiger Woods’ Home - omg! news on Yahoo!](http://omg.yahoo.com/news/report-child-protection-investigators-called-to-tiger-woods-home/32627)

What a disaster. I hope the kids end up OK after all of this. I hope that anything Elin may have done to Tiger before the accident doesn’t affect her custody should she decide to leave. She is probably the only stable parent those kids have.

The biggest problem that many of these women would have is being believed if they were to have come out 6 months ago. Now, we believe. The problem is that now we’d believe all sorts of women who didn’t have anything to do with Tiger.

The spousal abuse issue (whether there was any or not) was always another shoe ready to drop.

It is customary that Child Protective services comes out to pay a visit. That is standard. Doesn’t mean the children were abused or neglected. An average Joe Blow goes thru this everyday, without notice .

Oh, I know…I wasn’t questioning whether the children had been abused or neglected. You’re right that “Joe Blow” goes through this everyday, but that’s the point…it’s not public fodder every day for them. Also, I’m curious: did the police lie in the press conference when they said they had no evidence of domestic violence? If that were the case, then how could a visit by child protective services be justified?

Point of clarification-
Child protective services doesn’t just show up on Joe Blow’s dorstep without notice. Someone has to make a report, and if there seems to be suspicion of risk of neglect of or harm to the kids (this is a generic statement as I don’t know the FL laws) then CPS may, based ont he information provided in the report, choose to open an investigation and make a home visit.

OK, so if Tiger is suffering from an addiction, is it fair to presume that he is currently experiencing some sort of withdrawal symptoms? Night sweats, itching, shakes…I don’t know. I’m not being sarcastic here…trying to keep an open mind on this.

I’m waiting for an “older” woman to come out of the woodwork. I can see the tabloid headlines now, perhaps “The Tiger and the Cougar.”

Apparently the number is up to 16 now. Yikes!

I don’t think the Tiger was into Cougars. (pun intended)

“Playgirl has decided to turn down the alleged Tiger Woods nude photos, reportedly taken by camera phone by Woods himself,”

His own camera phone? Consistent I guess…

^ouch, mowc!

Well they DO have standards ya know, after all Levi Johnston would be a hard act to follow!

(Go ahead MOWC, I gave you another set-up)

“Playgirl has decided to turn down the alleged Tiger Woods nude photos, reportedly taken by camera phone by Woods himself,”

In other words, Playgirl probably made some kind of arrangement with Tiger Woods. Either Playgirl was successfully threatened by his lawyers or they got some kind of payoff.

I predict that given Tiger’s out of control behavior and the kind of mistresses he selected, nude pictures of him will show up some place eventually.

"I’m waiting for an “older” woman to come out of the woodwork. I can see the tabloid headlines now, perhaps “The Tiger and the Cougar.”

There already have been speculations that he has some cougar TV personality in England. She’s supposed to be about 40, but to look considerably younger. No one, however, came up with as good a headline about it as you did. Hats off!
