Tiger Woods

His one mistake was getting caught by his wife. I guess Williams could have blamed her too.

His one mistake was marrying someone who can’t forgive and/or forget. He saved her from a life of changing the diapers of other people’s kids, and how does she thank him? Yup, a 9-iron to the upper lip.

Let us not muddy the waters. Elin was never your typical nanny. She was enrolled as a psych major at one of the top Swedish universities when Parnevik’s wife convinced her to take a gap year in the US as an au-pair. Her twin sister, Josefin, who accompanied Elin to the US returned to Sweden to complete her education and is now a successful corporate attorney in London.

We have had four successive Swedish au-pairs helping us when our kids were very young. We still correspond with them and our kids treated them like older sisters. One is now a PhD, another a doctor, a third a teacher and the fourth a lawyer. Hardly your typical nannies.

If Tiger had not screwed up her life, Elin would probably be happy as a professional child psychologist as she always wanted. She never cared about the money or she would have taken the super-model route when she had the opportunity.

In addition, her mother has served as Sweden’s migration minister. Her father is a radio journalist.

Elin’s spending time in the U.S. as a nanny is commensurate with what some adventurous upper class U.S. students do when they teach English abroad. She basically was taking a gap year.

TMZ has a picture of Rachel buying groceries in Florida a couple of miles from where Tiger has his boat, Privacy. Any thoughts that Tiger is bailing on the whole scene and motoring out into the sunset with his new soul mate, Rachel?

Stay tuned for the next episode!

“Any thoughts that Tiger is bailing on the whole scene and motoring out into the sunset with his new soul mate, Rachel?”

I think they deserve each other and can have a blissful life together…

would they double date with jon and haley?

Princess Diana was a nanny for an American family that had been transferred to London. They were invited to attend the royal wedding.

Two things: you guys are going to laugh but Nancy Grace did say last night (Ok, I know, but I like her) that a “lethal weapon” can even be a foot if its used incorrectly! (Come on, I know, but she is an attorney). Also, front page of the NY Times has an investigation write up about a Canadian MD who was big on dispensing steroids to NFL athletes and they did mention TW in passing.

Nancy Grace would prosecute a ham sandwich if it would boost her ratings. Her performance in the Duke Lacrosse Case was abysmal.

“a “lethal weapon” can even be a foot if its used incorrectly!”

If Tiger’s weapon is a foot, or even close to that long, he was in the wrong business.

Huh? You do know some people play golf just for fun. Money and spectators can sometimes ruin your enjoyment. ;)

What a joke. Prior to this point, Tiger has only had to deal with the golf/sports media. I don’t know how it could be made more clear that they’ve looked the other way in all of this. Face it, Tiger gets upset at a network or a specific guy trying to make his living following the golf tour and it’s over for that guy. If Tiger won’t give you an interview and pointedly makes that clear, you are toast. So, they handle Tiger very very gently.

Now the entertainment media … that’s a different story. They don’t care about building bridges so Tiger (boo hoo) has no control over them.

Maybe the commercials that had the line, “I’m Tiger Woods” could be reshot featuring a variety of buxom blondes saying, “I’m Tiger Woods booty call.”

Dad07 - my point exactly.
My point with DCF -is those departments are notoriously backlogged. Given the media pressure they will rush out and “investigate”. In the meantime - some poor kid will be pummeled by his Dad in an alcholic rage and while moving lower on the list.

Folks - hate to say it but Tiger is holding the cards here. If he plays this correctly he will emerge unscathed.
I haven’t heard of any illegal behavior here, he will probably be able to fight any claims of prostitution. All these women appear to have acted willingly. There are no claims that I have seen of child porn, sexual abuse or rape.
The Golf world needs Tiger more than he needs them. He could ride off into the sunset with his harem and live happily ever after. If he chooses that, the Tour will suffer and the players can expect a big paycut.

Are there any golfers coming up in the ranks who deserve attention? Cetainly it will be difficult to anticipate the potential of any up and coming golf legend, but if there is one out there, now would be the time for their PR machine to gear up.

Btw, I remember a general conversation with a group at the time that Tiger chose a (stereotypical for so many pro golfers) blonde wife. I remember an African-American woman defending Tiger by saying that when you meet your soul mate, color has nothing to do with it. That sounds nice, but I don’t see any Asian or African-American non-soul mates showing up on Tiger’s booty roster. I wonder what that woman thinks now?

If Tiger “made” golf pre-disclosure, will he be the cause of its (further?) decline post-disclosure? And, as many posts here reflect, do a lot of people even care?

If TW divorces, marries Rachel, returns to win a bunch of tournaments and avoids more media meltdown conduct, will anyone be talking about this in a few years?

The latest is ESPN reporting that this Canadian doctor arrested for possessing Human Growth Hormone is now being linked to Tiger’s people…

So, the next shoe has dropped.

I would agree. However, he is in a pickle. Let’s say that this growth hormone thing is true. If he admits to using growth hormone, people will let him move on. If he doesn’t, it will be like Barry Bonds, Pete Rose and Roger Clemens where it will go on forever. So, he needs to come ‘clean’ to get out from under that. Problem is that Tiger is ALL about the majors. He wants and needs to have Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 majors. Unfortunately, there will be plenty of people (and perhaps the PGA) that won’t support that he broke the record if he admits to using performance enhancing stuff. Hence, he’s in a heck of a pickle. And he’s a cheap tipper. ;)
