Tiger Woods

hee hee, yea, ellemenope that’s what I thought – spending time with the boys is a change for Tiger.

By “the boys”, do you mean his kids? People might assume they are boys as their names are Sam and Charlie but Sam is a GIRL.

"Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer plans to drop Tiger Woods from its American ad campaigns, the company announced.

The luxury watchmaker said it would maintain its support of Woods’ charitable foundation, but would turn to other brand representatives such as actor Leonardo DiCaprio for American advertisements.

Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Christophe Babin told the Swiss daily Le Matin his company recognizes Woods as a huge figure in the world of sports, but must be sensitive to recent events.

Woods’ endorsers have lavished an estimated $110 million a year on him and last week consulting giant Accenture became the first major sponsor to formally cut its links with the disgraced golf great."

No…I read that he has some long term buddies…maybe from high school? …who are loyal to him. I think the kids will be with Elin. This will be a strange Christmas for the Tiger family.

I wonder whether the PGA noticed the irony and the pun:

Tiger Woods just got “Player” of the year award for 2009.

“No…I read that he has some long term buddies…maybe from high school? …who are loyal to him.”

At least one who has been mentioned is a friend from Tiger’s days at Stanford, and helped cover up some of Tiger’s affairs. I believe he also is officially on Tiger’s payroll.

I feel sorry for Tiger’s mom. First she had to deal with infidelity in her own marriage. Now she has to deal with her son’s poor decisions, immoral behavior, lack of honor, absence from his sport (which she probably enjoyed watching), and the fact that she in all likelihood will see much less of her grandchildren and the daughter-in-law who, if People Magazine is right, she truly loved.

Yes, from the first, I have felt sorry for Tiger’s mom. As the mother of sons, I’ve thought about how badly I’d feel if my sons did something like Tiger did, and how worried I’d be about losing contact with my grandchildren. Right or wrong, I’d probably blame myself for my son’s behavior. That would be an awful feeling.

Hear that with the dropoff in sponsorship income, Tiger has decided to start a new line of women’s clothing. Every item will be embroidered with the company motto, “Put a Tiger in your tank”.

^^^ I wonder if Exxon still has that phrase copyrighted or trademarked or whatever you call it!

no post…

A friend just sent me a youtube video with Billy Dee Williams pretending to be hawker for the Tiger Woods Memorial Plate collection with a GF on every plate. I laughed so hard thought I’d fall off my chair.

It is being reported that Tiger Woods has checked into a rehab center in
Arizona. The media is speculating that he is doing this so absolve himself of any blame for his sexual exploits as he had an addiction. He will spend a couple of weeks in the Arizona desert relaxing and come out “cured”. I wonder if the rehab center has a driving range? Expect Tiger to make his comeback at the Arnold Palmer Classic at Bay Hill Country Club in Orlando in late March. The tourney is near his home, Arnold is a buddy, and he has won this tourney six times. Last year, he won for the first time after his knee surgery.

If I was his wife he’d have had some other sort of surgery.

Tiger is going to release a statement this Friday–a Tiger Tale I suppose. Stay tuned!

If he comes out and says he found Jesus in there, those around him had better not be standing near anything metal.

Yeah, I’m skeptical. You know what they say: “A tiger doesn’t lose its stripes.”

Is he going to tell a tale about all his tail?

You in Texas yet?

Seems mostly the tail is doing the talking.

Awww, poor Tiger, he must be feeling really sad and lonely because no one has been paying any attention to him lately…
