Time for a new home?

Just wondering if it’s time to move the cafe to another home? And i dont mean reddit…that place is worse than this site. I’m willing to look into a new hosting environment and get it up and running but would like to know if there’s an interest. I’m a member in a different forum that had a similar look to our old cafe, and I’ve gotten tips from the person who set up that site. Let me know your thoughts…

I hate this format, too. I would move to CC Patent Cafe in a new location.

I would follow. BTW is there anywhere that gives an explanation of the rationale for the new format or that they are listening to suggestions?

I don’t like this format either. However, its hard to pull people off. We are here because one time or another we were looking for advice for our kids college matters and by learning and experencing the actual process, we could provide support to those come later for advice. The Cafe is just a byproduct of this process, although it gradually become a hang out venue for the empty nesters. I don’t think many or majority of us will abandon the basic “college matter” premises to go to another home just to chat.

I would love to see the cafe move to another location. I’m in, too.

I would likely participate in both, and I would certainly miss some of you if you leave here. This is currently the only on-line presence I have. I do email, but no Facebook or twitter, etc.
What I really thought when I read the title of the thread, was the OP needed home buying advice.

I would certainly consider it. I come here almost exclusively for the Parent Cafe now. I like when it’s busy and hopping.

I would be in both. I wouldn’t leave CC because I follow other forums. I really don’t like the new format and hope it changes soon.

Hahaha. I also thought this thread was about OP considering leaving the current home, trying to weigh positives/negatives.

I’d just read the Sinners Alley thread about snakes and assumed OP meant snakes in the basement.

I’m undecided. I’m still dealing with my own disappointment that a solid community (mostly adults, a few great kids,) is falling apart. In ways, we live each other’s lives, as time passes. Yeah, we sometimes need to get a life.

I don’t think this format is that bad and would stay here but also would add another site if many of you leave.

Let me know where it is if/when you create something and I’d join in. I would be OK with either an anonymous site like this one or a private FB page type thing where people would know our names.

I’m very interested. This new format is very difficult to use on my iphone, which is the major way I use it. I’m sad, but it really does free up a lot more time. :wink:
