I’ve used both Neutrogena retinol eye cream and a similar product from ROC (both available at Walgreens, et al) I’ve liked both and really struggle to find a compelling reason to spend $$$ on eye creams when these do the job. I’m also using Caudalie at night and don’t really see any difference :woman_shrugging:

Anyone has a lip mask they like? My lips are in bad shape and my esthetician recommended I try a lip mask.

I was gifted Laneige lip mask which I apply before bed. I liked it so bought some on Amazon Prime Day.
I have very dry skin and lips, this has helped.

Thanks, ordered it.

I like the Tatcha one better.

I see the Laneige one at tj maxx all the time. I find it’s drying.

I have one from White and Co, and I think it works pretty well but it tastes like perfume, which is a total turnoff.

It’s not marketed as a lip mask, but I use City Lips plumping gloss from City Beauty in clear, both before I go to bed and in the morning. I used to use Laneige but I find the City Lips lasts longer and is much more moisturizing.

Revision Lip Replenisher. It was recommended by my esthetician and I love it. I like it so much better than the Laneige I was using.

If you want them to heal, use pure (Raw) Shea Butter. Not a blend of any kind. Its the only product that actually heals, not just temporarily makes it feel better. I use Alaffia, I bet it from Whole Foods. There are several others on the internet, they come from Africa.

Is it the yellow tub that says pure unrefined shea butter?

Yes. You scoop just the tiniest amount in the palm of your hand and rub it around to soften it with your fingertip before putting on your lips.

Thanks, going to try it and it’s on sale now, nearly $6 discount.

Great! It definitely worked for me. It takes a few days, but I actually felt better the moment I slathered it on. I use it in the winter at night after I brush my teeth as a proactive measure. But when I was trying to heal them, I was putting it on several times a day. Doesn’t take much. It’s thick even when warmed up.

Any recs for an eyelid primer? Years ago Laura Mercier made one that I loved and often just wore alone. It made my eye lids look smooth etc. I can’t find one similar that I like.

I do not have hooded eyes, my lids are very visible so I like having something on them for a little polish.

So do you use Miracle Balm like foundation? I got the impression that it was to just to enhance lips, cheeks, and eyes. Maybe the nudish color can be used all over?

Oops sorry, I thought this was a recent thread!

I use a MAC Paint Pot as my eyelid primer. The shade Painterly is perfect for me - gets rid of any redness or veins and is a match for my skin color. I dust a little setting powder over it, apply my eyeshadow (either cream or powder works fine) and my eyeshadow stays put all day. And if you don’t want to wear eyeshadow it just evens out the eye area.

I like the too faced eye primer. Also the house brand one from ulta is good.

Not a huge urban decay eye primer fan as the other two

I started using Thrive brilliant eye brightener. The Calle color almost matches my lid color, so the effect is subtle. I ordered the concealer from them, but it hasn’t arrived yet.

I use the Miracle Balm (Flushed) as a highlighter. I also use the Au Naturel to cover any dark sports. Some of the lighter shades (e.g., Happy Hour) have sparkles, which I don’t need and discovered after I purchased. I use Supergoop Glow Screen (a tinted sunscreen) as a base.
