I like those EPTR- I’m such a wimp with heels though - I know those aren’t very high, but still high for me!!!

Message 255 has the details for all the stuff I bought.

CF, thank you for the reviews! I looked up the Emmett dress (Terry Bicycles did not have the XS which is what I think I would need), and Zappos sells it in both the stripe and solid black! Ordered. Also, the brand makes other cute tunic-length dresses that could go well with leggings (sold at 6pm and other sites in addition to Zappos).

Abasket, they are SOOOOOO comfortable. I have a bunion on one foot and flat feet and I still didn’t even have to break them in. They are the softest leather which makes the upper very flexible.

If I could marry a shoe, it would be this one!

Our Costco just got the Maggie M leggings in stock. The siz medium corresponds to the 6 Calvin Klein jeggings and jeans.

They had embroidered and be-sequined tops on clearance for $4.97. Bought one on a whim and it looks great with the jeggings.

Found a couple of things that might work with leggings yesterday on an unexpected (to my credit card) trip through TJMaxx.

First, a shorter black/white print dress - knit, short sleeves - I will probably wear a colored cardigan with it to bring in some color. Super comfortable, appropriate for work, would look good with flats or boots. Dress has a slight flare. Definitely will be good with tights, have to try it on with leggings.

Then, at the last minute I spied a short skirt - red, cranberry, rose colored tweed - LOVE IT! Nicely lined and has two fake “pocket” zippers on the front - kind of this type of style:

Think it will go great with either my black or charcoal grey tights.

I think I need to read this thread from the beginning again and really study all the links to the dresses/tops you all have listed!

Wowser, that skirt is 16" long. Cute, but super, super short. It would barely cover my rear end. 25" still hits above my knees and is about as short as I dare go with a skirt. I’m 5’9" so I’d have to be 5 ft. tall to wear that skirt comfortably tights or not tights.

I would never wear this skirt without tights! I’m 5’6-5’7 and I tend to wear skirts/pants lower on my waist - not AT the waist - it’s really not that short. I would say it falls a couple of inches above my knee. My bum is DEFINITELY covered!

I bought the Wooly Bully. It is short; it falls about 4" above the center of my kneecap. I would never ever wear it without tights.

For normal wear, I would never wear tights without a skirt, dress or tunic over them. But I’m a cyclist: tights with nothing over them is what I wear all winter for riding. So when I tried on a pair of leggings, it felt like exactly what I wear all the time.

If you want to buy this dress, size down. Consider sizing down by two sizes if you want it to fit as shown.

Would like to find a nice button up shirt tunic similar to this one in a pretty color…I saw a lady (of a certain age!) wearing a purple one with black leggings and she looked great. It was long enough and she had jazzed it up with a scarf–made for a good, classic look. Wondering if anybody has seen one lately.

Nice tops, Panhandlelegal, but as shown, they don’t look long enough to cover the behind. Beware! Tops of that styling, but tunic length, would make a good look I’d say.

I would not buy a cotton shirt to be worn as a tunic. Cotton wrinkles, so the outfit could very easily turn from chic to frumpy.

Here is a shirt-like top that could work with a scarf and a belt:

I love that dress, Cardinal.

Me too! MOfWC, you will need an XS for sure. Zappos has it in stock. Here is another cosy-looking topper for leggings:

This one is good looking too. Not the color for me, but it looks like a terrific dress:

I’m a sucker for a hooded top - I’d like that dress but in a different color. Doesn’t really look like plum???

I like that Mountain Hardware dress. Once again CC is costing me money. I might try the Emmett dress too!

abasket, I could not justify spending $110 on a hoodie, so I can’t say how it looks IRL. It does come in other colors (navy-ish and white - talk about washing it ).

Zappos has the Lole Calm dress in other colors:
