Based on the reviews of that dress it looks good with leggings, footless tights and boots. Might go for it, although it’s not a petite and I"m not sure about the length.

I went ahead and ordered the “Give It Your All” dress from Athleta. Will report back - wish I had it on today!!!

EPTR, depending on how light the grey ends up being I think you could still wear black tights/leggings with it - and maybe a scarf that has some color along with black/grey in it.

Thanks, Abasket!

Yesterday I picked up a denim shirt dress on sale at Banana Republic. It is similar to this.

Not real sure how to address the tights/leggings/shoes/boots issues!!!

I saw some on line being worn with black tights and brown casual boots and a brown belt. Any thoughts?

Very cute and sounds like your accessories will be perfect. HImom

EPTR, I think that is a good way to wear your new wardrobe addition. Braided brown belt and brown riding or Western-style boots would look perfect with that shirt!

I have a belt that is black with a brown design on it. Might try that.

OK thanks to this thread I walked into an Athleta store for the first time ever and asked the salesgirl “where are the dresses you can wear with tights or leggings like they talk about on CC?”

Fortunately she didn’t hear anything I said (because she probably would have called Security)

I bought this dress in black:
[Privacy Policy | Athleta](Athleta)

Then I really liked this one in blue:
[Privacy Policy | Athleta](Athleta)

And it was on sale! But they did not have an XS (these styles run big – I’m usually a small)

So they called headquarters and they agreed to give me the sale price even if I ordered online. I started to read off my credit card number and I hear this breep breep breep sound, and the salesgirl says “oh my God – the fire alarm – I have to leave the building. Can you call back?” And I’m like – but wait – this is important. The line was dead.

I called later; they honored the 30% off; I can’t wait to wear my new dresses!

Thanks to everyone on this thread. There are so many cute things in that store!

Classof2015, it must have been a fire sale! :D

I decided to wear my striped top and Lulu leggings to work today. There is hardly anyone in the building, so a casual look is perfectly fine. :)

^to work today? On a Sunday? BB – you are officially entitled to show up in your pj’s!

And yes, I think it was a fire sale. :)

Classof2015, that’s a great story! :). We need an Athleta rep on this thread - and they should give us ALL discounts!!!

Classof2015, That second dress is the one I got! I have it in the green color. Love it! It is so comfortable and cute.

I love the first one you chose too! It is only 30% off in the store? Darn it.

Joining this thread though I’ve been reading all along. Classof2015 - I copied you and ordered that purple dress.

Maybe it can be the CC “uniform” I got the costco leggings and just ordered a pair of black boots from Zappos. I need an outfit for Thanksgiving, hope I can get it pulled together by then.

I can do business casual no problem, casual is way more difficult for me.

Welcome Eyeamom - clearly there have been a lot of closet leggings want-to-be’s!!!

abasket – that’s a great idea – we should all get Athleta discounts!

EPTR – the black one was not on sale at all – paid full price – I couldn’t take a chance I wouldn’t find it later. So glad you got the 2nd one! You, me, eyemamom – if we ever meet up in real life, we’ll all wear the same dress and find each other :)

Classof2015 - we’ll be the guinea pigs in the coal mine in our spiffy twin leggings outfits. But I have a feeling if you ordered an xs you’ll win the “***** stole my look” contest.

Ha! As Ellen DeGeneres said, “I’d have a fashion contest with Heidi Klum, but it wouldn’t be fair to Heidi…”

Just walked past our lobby at work and saw a woman sitting and wearing charcoal leggings with a black knit dress and flats - I wanted to ask her to stand up so I could see the dress better! It might have been a knit tunic but looked more like a dress. The charcoal grey was cute as well - maybe more casual than black but still nice.

I’ve been following this thread religiously. I simply must have those Matty M charcoal leggings.
(Am I correct that ordering from Costco requires Costco membership?)
No Costco near me, but my Chicago sister has several Costcos near her. I figured I could ask her to send me some leggings. She is a most excellent sister. So I called her and wouldn’t you know? She was actually shopping in a Costco, when she answered the phone. I made my request and chatted with her while she dug through the bin of leggings. All the charcoal leggings were in size XL, but she found one pair of medium. Just one.

She had never heard of Matty M brand. By the time we finished our chat and I had told her how highly recommended the leggings were, she decided to keep them herself! lol
There are other Costcos near her and I think I probably need a size small. I am 5’6", 118 lbs.
Anyone know how these run for size?

merlin, I have no idea how they run size-wise, but here is the answer to your other question: if the description of a particular item does not say “membership required” (like Hunter boots and Marmot jackets that they are selling now), then anyone can order it from Costco dot com.
