I’ve ordered something from Costco in the past without being a member. You didn’t need to be a member but that was a while ago.

^^^I never knew that - that you didn’t always have to be a member to order online.

I ordered the Costco leggings online recently after reading about them here. I am not a member.

[Mountain Hardwear Lampira Tunic Dress - Hooded, 3/4 Sleeve (For Women)](http://www.sierratradingpost.com/mountain-hardwear-lampira-tunic-dress-hooded-3and4-sleeve-for-women~p~5438a/?utm_source=GooglePLAs&utm_medium=PaidShopping&utm_term=Mountain_Hardwear_Lampira_Tunic_Dress_-_Hooded_34_Sleeve_For_Women&utm_campaign=PCGOOGLEP3&codes-processed=true)
My Mountain Hardware dress came today. I will keep it with some reservations. If I had paid full price I would send it back. I had a 25% off coupon for Sierra Trading Post and paid $61 dollars for it. The color doesn’t show well in the photo but it is a herringbone pattern. The fabric is pretty thick. It will look good with black leggings. The cons for me are that even though many of the reviews say it runs large I do not find that to be the case. It is definitely a tunic in that it is fairly narrow in cut. I tend to like things looser but that is something I am trying to get away from.
The biggest con for me is that it is fairly thick. I live on the central coast of Ca and it just might be to warm for most days (for those of us with menopause symtoms). I would wear it at nice out to a casual dinner or on a rainy day. It would also be good for when I visit my familly in Northern Ca.
I now need to focus on getting some black boots. I need laces due to fit. I have been looking at some of the Frye bootie styles.
Those Hunter boots at Costco online are a good deal. I bought my D a pair last year from Nordstroms for quite a bit more.

Yes, that looks like it’s of sweatshirt-ish type weight - kind of thicker.

abasket- here is the same dress in Plum that BunsenBurner highlighted a few pages back. You can get a better picture in the Zappos ad since it is actually on a person.
I am revising my review- I tried it on with my leggings and a pair of Dansko type of black shoes. It looks totally cute. If it was colder today I would wear it.

BunsenBurner, soozievt–about the Costco online shopping, thank you!! Life just got simpler.
And more dangerous! Can skinny 60-somethings carry off the athleta dresses with leggings without looking ridiculous?
Truly, I remember times when I was much younger, and would cringe upon seeing the aged face of a fit, fashionably dressed woman, who looked much younger from the back. Sometimes I just want to wear the look, without showing skin.

And I love Mountain Hardwear brand. Hoodies, I avoid, but the Lampira Tunic Dress, I want to own.

I can’t stop! Just bought:

and

and I can’t wait to try on/buy:

I am thin and 61 and I wear Athleta, Mountain Hardwear, Lole, Title 9 and other athletic brands with leggings, tights, boots, flats- whatever without any concerns.

Okay, thanks to you all I just bought the Costco leggings online. No shipping charges! And they are so good about returns, I figured it was worth a try. They only had M and larger sizes, not sure how they’ll fit but I am tall so I hope that works.

I have the Athleta rib half zip dress which I can wear with the leggings, as well as another long tunic type top. CC is costing me money! :D

I’m assembling outfits! I have the costco leggings, and I just received a skirt I like that’s black and more a-line above the knee and made from a light jersey material. I get it now. I ordered a pair of boots from zappos but they didn’t fit I just sent it back and ordered a few more to try on. My feet are getting finickier as I get older, either that or I’m less likely to want to put up with pinched feet.

I can see lots of tops I own would be fine. Wow won’t it be nice to not be stuffed in my clothes like a sardine and still look stylish and be comfortable.

Eyeamom, do you mean because you will be using leggings instead of tights? I hate the control top feeling in tights.

Well not only the tights vs leggings. I tend to wear lined dress pants all the time, I almost never wear skirts or dresses. Honestly I didn’t like the thigh rubbing or worrying about sitting like a lady. Plus high heels, to stocking or not stocking. I realized I wear business casual, or sloppy slouch and really nothing in between. I have jeans but I don’t think they’re all that comfortable, but many times “comfortable” connotes lazy and unkempt. But I’m starting to rethink that now I saw the leggings and skirt on me. I don’t want to look like I forgot my “baby” is 17 and that I’m still wearing the maternity clothes.

I just returned from the Atheleta store!
New stuff just arrived, I bought a couple tops, a skirt & a dress, will post later w links.
A chalkboard outside their store says to follow them on twitter.
I may go back later, the clothes make me feel like Olivia Pope!
( well as much as I can, without Kerry Washingtons figure & her coloring)

OK, Momofwildchild, thank you!!
I have given myself permission to wear that look. I haven’t always been truly skinny, so I tend to worry about covering every womanly curve.
Being a budget-minded New Englander, I try to buy multiple use items, such as stuff I can also wear to work. Fortunately, I work in rural elementary schools, where there are no fashion police. But I guess I have become my own fashion police.

And I guess I am glad that S2 attends a college somewhat near an Athleta store.

EPTR - I have that sweatshirt dress in the navy & love it!! It runs very large so the reviews complaining about the fit are probably because they weren’t wearing the right size. I’ve worn mine with chuck taylor’s, riding boots, and sandals. All looked cute.

Very cute dress.

I bought a pair of Splendid leggings today and two Splendid long sleeve long tee’s and this long sweater - which I think will be perfect for the winter.

At the risk of turning this into an Atheleta fan page, I wanted to encourage anyone who has one nearby to go into the store.
Not only is there more merch than in the catalog but the dressing room makes trying on clothes almost painless.
(& they had sale stuff that is still regular price online)
A “stylist” is assigned to the dressing room so you don’t have to wait for your clerk to check on you. The dressing room itself was roomy and had more hooks for clothes than I needed, plus it had a shelf for your earrings & reading glasses!
( although it was well above my eye level, so I forgot them and had to go back into the store to retrieve them)
Also a three way mirror in the dressing room.
Who needs Nordstroms?

My only frustration with Athleta is they do sell out of things very early in the season. Then it’s like playing whack-a-mole stalking the website to see when someone returns your color/size choice. Granted, I have had very good luck. They usually process returns about 1-2am so that’s a great time to check if you’re hunting for an out of stock item. I had to wait about a week to pick up this sweater, but am in love!! I very rarely pay full price for their things, but I don’t think this will stick around in the oatmeal to the sales. Well, they’re not showing the oatmeal now so they must not have any in. I do think the reds pretty as well.

I agree with EK4 and do try to make it to our local store every once in a while. Their sale items can be different, great customer service, etc. my store doesn’t always have the selection but that could be regional.
