dietz, that’s what I was going to say… more sites to explore, more damage to my budget! I also dug through my sock drawer (humongous!) and found a pair of Wolford wool tights that I forgot about!

I like the merino dress, abasket, but IMO it is too long to be worn with leggings and flats. I can totally see myself wearing it with leggings and long boots. :)

Here is one dress style that works really well with leggings - a slightly fitted sweater dress:

(waving at abasket, who is going to look great in her new leggings!) The Starbuck’s woman was really fashion-forward. Her sweather had a handkerchief hem. Her leggings had 3" zippers on the back of her ankles and she was wearing black, studded flats.

Momlive - definitely match the color of the boots! A different color legging or tight will truncate the leg, especially if you wear a longer top or tunic - the tights/leggings will look like a band right at the thigh…not good!

True, yes, on the Merino dress being a bit long for flats. I’ve been known to order a dress like this in petite to have a shorter look.

Good remembering on the detail Toledo! The zippers weren’t tacky either - she said a lot easier to get on and off - and an added detail (though I probably wouldn’t want zippers myself)

Momofthree, what has you stunned? Honestly, trust me, the zippers were not gaudy. I didn’t even notice them till she pointed them out. This lady had the look of a modern, yet age appropriate 60 year old who would shop in a fine department store(s). Polished but not fancy.

That dress is cute - it looks long enough that tights would look best.

I’ll weigh in here - I think leggings look best with a shorter tunic length top. Anything long enough to be considered a dress (at the knee or an inch or two above) looks best with tights. Anything shorter, leggings are more appropriate. I don’t like the look of a relatively long dress plus leggings with skin at the ankle showing. Too chopped up and dowdy, IMO
