Again, nothing in North Texas.

Still nothing in IL. :'(

Nothing in texas today.

Nothing in texas today.

same here trinity. what part of texas?

Colleyville

ah! im from Dallas! so yeah, we should hear about the same time. what’s taking so long, its almost mid may!

Nothing in CT!!!

Would it not be annoying if Toyota suddenly decided to cut this scholarship in light of their recent losses? or is no news good news at this moment?

^^^I was thinking the exact same thing, Mesquite_girl24. Toyota has suffered quite a bit this year. :(

I wonder if they will cut the trip, and that is why they are waiting so long to announce.

The possibility exists that they may cut the trip, but I would be willing to bet that the scholarship money is already out of Toyota’s hands, for all intents and purposes. ETS (the group that administers the scholarship) would likely not go to all the work and expense of selection/finalist review/notification without the award money (or proof of its designation) beforehand.

Hahaha. That would really suck if they canceled it. I doubt it though, tayljo is probably right. The trip, however, is another story. I wonder what’s taking them so long. The longer they delay, the less time we have to plan ahead for the trip if we are selected.

i agree. nothing today. We should definitely call. I would, but i have an AP tomorrow, and should really get off CC. on a humorous note however, the doorbell rang twice today. Both times, i leaped up from the couch and RAN to the door thinking it was UPS/FedEx, only to discover once it was my mom, the other time some salesperson. UGH! NOTIFY US ALREADY! (not to be mean or rude…)

I called ETS today and they said notifications should be mailed out this month (within the next two weeks). Does anyone else find this ridiculous?? Notifications will be arriving over a month after they initially told us… Ick.

I called ealier today, too, and got the same response. The woman said “they’re running a little behind.” I have to say that I’m not particularly happy. My mom and I have been checking the mail compulsively, and every time we hear a car drive past our house, we think it might be FedEx/UPS.
Is it true that, this time, the notification will not come through FedEx, but through regular USPS?
And is it also true that those who did not win the scholarship will not be notified?

I know what you mean… I’ve been running out to the mailbox every day and have just continued to be discouraged at the lack of any notification. Until I came across this thread, I was worried that they just wouldn’t send anything to those that didn’t receive anything!
And as for the mode of delivery, I’m not sure if anyone knows for sure which one it will be. I assume it will still be FedEx or UPS, since it comes from ETS (companies like these will usually go through the extra expense to assure the package is delivered).

We also called ETS this morning and the second time we spoke to a supervisor, we were told result of this scholarship will be mailed out next week. So, everyone, hangs in there.

hey thanks to all who called! i really appreciate the info. its nice to know something a bit more concrete. i was starting to believe that they just didnt notify the non-winners and that no one on CC got it (gasp! shocking that i possibly could believe such heresy) Good luck to everyone! lets hope we find out soon.

Yeah hopefully when they say next week they don’t mean next month. Good luck everyone.
