I watched. I am on the west coast so enjoy reading this thread before watching the show. I missed reading it last night. For what it is worth, I also enjoy knowing the final four because it helps me see the relationships develop throughout the season.
So far, I liked it. It seemed like we got to know some of the women a little better than in the past. It also skipped over some of the hokey entrances. I didn’t keep track, but I’m assuming those that they skipped over were eliminated early.
There seem to be a lot of women who came on the show for Joey. I wonder if that is because he seems like more of an average Joe than some of the other leads. Did casting have more time after Joey was announced?
I never picked up on his eyes, but a lot of women talk about how green they are. I’m just happy that they found a stylist to help him with his hair.
In the middle of watching but is it just me or does that area where the limos drop off always appear wet - like it just rained? Jist saw them riding the go karts too and same thing - it looks shiny and wet!
" As HuffPost pointed out, host Chris Harrison gave the answer in a 2012 Entertainment Weekly blog post—and it’s surprisingly simple: They spray it down so it looks nice."
What I thought was funky was how many of the ‘final-ish’ women they showed in the "this season on the Bachelor’ segment - I don’t think they have historically showed so many scenes (with identifying faces) of the women who make it through to the (near) end…correct me if I’m wrong…if I had a better memory that might bum me out, but I’ll forget in a few months time LOL.
I think they often do that - MAYBE there were more last night? But also there are more women to start with. I also noted though that some of the ones they “showed” - you couldn’t tell who it was - like one with a helmet and goggles when they were on a motorbike or something. I ALSO noted during that segment that nearly all the women obviously shown had dark hair - Joey maybe not into blondes?!
Boring first episode - though I was rolling on the floor at the woman totally losing her marbles in the confessional during the rose ceremony - I do realize they all leave their jobs, spend a ton on clothing/accessories, so I try not to laugh too hard.
I already have a couple of favorites but I can’t remember their names. Nor their faces, so I probably won’t be able to pick them out next week.
I like the season so far, as I think he’s got a lot of great women. Glad the older sister went home and I’d be happy if the “let me change into something more comfortable” woman went home.
