Somehow, ds2 has one as well. Someone out there must have an algorithm that makes them or something.
Interesting. Time to Google my kids’ names.
So far a bit of a yawn-fest.
I actually like quirky Maria (just as I liked quirky Braydon?), as well as the girl with the raspy voice (got the group date rose), and I like the girl with the cochlear implants but I don’t think she’s for him.
I need the older sister to go home. She’s a mess.
And I need Joey to have a bit more energy -
Apparently Daisy is not innocent as she appears. If you google her name and music video you will be quite surprised. BIg Trump supporter which is fine if he is as well. I really liked her on the date. Also like Lexi. Maria is interesting, can’t tell if I like her or not. At least she stands out.
You’re right, that might most matter to Joey…or not!
Incidentally, another this season contestant - Marlena - think she went home this week? - was a Trump aide who stayed on until Joe’s inauguration -meaning she stayed in the WH after January 6.
Anyone watch this week? I thought it was a little .
Though two good laugh moments with the tennis outfits and a big LOL, the KFC! Wow, I’ve never seen more obvious ad placement - I guess I’d throw a big pool party if KFC was at the last minute showing up with a boatload of chicken and sides!!
The Sydney/Maria drama is already OLD. Sydney is really writing her ticket out the door. Not saying Maria is fully innocent but Sydney needs to move on.
If I had to pick some top 5 contenders right now (I know no spoilers and don’t want to know and wouldn’t share here!), I’d have to put Lexi and Rachel up there. I don’t know that Daisy will make it there though I feel like she is getting good screen time - I’d say she might show up on BIP but I thought I’ve heard they may not do a BIP season in 2024.
Everything in this episode seemed too fabricated.
The drama is much ado about nothing. Joey seems sincere, but he is not an actor. It is awkward hearing him try to muddle through scripted lines.
The KFC product placement was annoying. Advertising on the Bachelor seemed out of place. The women barely ate anything. Survivor would have been more appropriate.
His one-on-one was lackluster. Were they going to suddenly cancel the drone show if the date was a flop?
I was wondering how they were going to play off the fact that the Golden Bachelor hadn’t aired before Joey’s season filmed, and the women didn’t know who ASKN were. The women also didn’t know the tennis pros. Granted, I’m not all that familiar with James Blake. Pam Shriver is closer to my age. I’m not sure that I would recognize either of them if I passed them on the street.
Pam Shriver and I share a birthday (I think I’m a few years older) and I met her when she was playing on the circuit. Our fathers had business ties and we were eating at the same restaurant one night.
That’s the only part of the show I really caught (had to make an airport pick up run).
If I were the bachelorette, I’d announce at the beginning that I didn’t want to hear about any drama in the mansion. Work it out yourselves, boys. I know it is all manufactured, but to me it is just tattletale stuff and boring. Bring me candy and flowers but not your problems. I’ll figure it out if they are not there for the right reasons, if they have 3 wives and 15 kids hidden away in Malibu or a gambling problem.
I watched but not closely. I almost turned it off, but there was nothing else on so I left it on as background noise.
Really boring season, IMO, which is why I looked up final four. I like looking at the editing to see how we get to the final four.
Wow, the KFC party was cringey.
I liked the segment at the very end, where Jesse was practicing the lines about the final rose. DH and I have laughed at that moment of every show for many years! So pointless and silly.
The fact that Jesse floating in the pool with his bucket was the highlight of the episode for me says something.
I didn’t like Maria much before this week, but the Sydney thing is so mean girl I’ve become more sympathetic, I guess that’s the point of the editing. Every season has its villain(ess)…I’m not a huge fan of the ‘oldest’ contestant either, can’t remember her name.
Although he is attractive and seems like a nice guy, every time Joey has one of his serious conversations I can’t help but think of monkey puppet…it’s his listening face.
The whole episode was a big yawn, other then Jesse at the end.
But I’m looking forward to next week; Malta is so pretty.
I’m not sure why but I’m having a hard time connecting to this season. Maybe it’s Joey’s energy (very one note). I still like Maria, and a couple of others. I’m troubled by how many women he’s professed a serious connection to.
I’ll keep watching.
It’s official!
Well, it was a 2-fer this week - 2 nights of episodes!
While on the one hand I think there are some really nice, really normal women on this season, on the flip of a dime we also see some DI-VA’s!!!
Maria is def a hand full but I think she is getting a bad rap from some of the women. Jealousy is ugly! I did not have Leah (?) on my score board as a control freak/tattletale/conniving person. Not liking her at all.
Also can’t stand Jess. How soon she forgot that night one SHE didn’t hesitate to dominate Joey’s time and did her little “we kissed” braggy-brag in front of all the women. Her voice GRATES on me.
I’m a little worried that Joey is going to fall somewhat equally for multiple women. He talks to each like he is really into who they are and can foresee a future. There are clues that whatever happens at the end - when we see him apparently left alone at the proposal site with a car pulling away and a distraught Joey- could happen with a couple of these women.
Thoughts?
Also, how soon the viewers forget that the producers schedule the chat time during the cocktail party. No contestant interrupts on their own accord.
Can you expand upon this? The average viewer (me and I assume others) does not know about scheduled chat time. Like is there a sign up sheet?!
The chat order is determined by production based upon whatever edit they want. The women (in this case, since it’s The Bachelor) don’t determine. Nor can they simply disregard production and go interrupt.
So when someone interrupts Joey and a woman are they doing it because it’s their time slot??
Love the European destinations!! I have been to Ronda in Spain and it is spectacular!!
