Hmmmm…well, I was a Jenn fan from back when, but I’m not one to read much about the show/contestants (other than here LOL), so I don’t know much about her other than what we saw.
I just clicked thru her ‘men’ - lots of them seem less like the usual glamour boys and more like just real guys you might meet. A few younger guys but most seem to be in that 28-29 range, didn’t someone mention she is really young?
Especially interesting to me is that there seem to be few Asian men, not that she would necessarily choose an Asian man, but some more representation would have been nice.
I’m guessing that the “variety” may be what she asked for. Or not important to her that their heritage matches. I don’t think “sameness” would be on either of my girls top priority list.
I found the Bachelor channel of FreeTV (Freevee?). When I have nothing else to watch, I watch. They are wasting their money filming new seasons as I don’t remember the old ones, the dates, who went home…they could just pick a season and run it and I’d watch it all over again.
I sometimes do remember the bachelor or the bachelorette but rarely remember who won or why. I’ve seen Bachelor in Rome, in Paris, I did remember the Trista and Ryan year, I remember the very first one with Michael and that Trista didn’t win.
I really have watched most of them, but it is all new to me.
Lol, well, their budget seems pretty low these days so maybe just replaying a season would fit into their budget!
I didn’t watch the first several seasons/years. Maybe they aren’t memorable because if the couple splits up they aren’t getting the social media/camera time.
While I have room in my summer tv watching schedule I’m currently not planning to watch Jenn’s season coming up. We will see if I change my mind.
In the early days they just did the shows. No after the Final Rose, no tell alls, etc.
The multiple girls with the same name seemed to be a trend from the beginning. One season had 4-5 Christine/Christina/Tinas. They also seemed to have the same professions, like Pharmaceutical rep, ‘manager’, student.
Some of the group dates seem more fun than in current seasons and were groups of 4-5, not 10 like they have now.
I didn’t look at the “slip” reveal. You shouldn’t look either beyond the headline if you don’t want to get spoiled.
Apparently Jenn - whose season is airing starting next week - “slipped” some major results?!
I don’t know, but it seemed that there were many not on board with watching her season - this might really tank the season! Wonder what % of people spoil themselves prior to watching and prefer to let the season play out???
I always spoil. I find it much more enjoyable that way.
Regarding Jenn, apparently immediately after she was announced, she was sequestered and didn’t see any of the responses to her being cast (including Daisy and Maria’s responses).
I found it interesting that she said that, at her age (26), she is too old for clubbing and partying. If that is the case, what was up with the shot o’clock thing at ATFR? Was that producers trying to create a certain narrative for the season? Maybe after Joey being the “boy next door”, they wanted a lead that appeared to be more carefree.
Again, I didn’t read cause I wasn’t interested in knowing but my impression it wasn’t purposeful - something Jenn said sort of gave away an important piece of info. She slipped/goofed up.
I’m going to agree with skieurope in that I wouldn’t classify it as an “important piece of info.”
She didn’t say the following, but I would put it in the same bucket as any of these phrases. “I didn’t give out a rose on one of the dates” or “One of the guys I was really interested in, left early” or “One of the guys had a girlfriend at home.”
She did say something about drama in the house and made a comment about how aware or unaware of it she was.
I think so. Joey’s season was so extremely successful. In my opinion, the “shot o clock” party girl type intro didn’t appeal to viewers who tuned in to watch Joey’s finale.
I actually had no plans to watch as I didn’t like really love Jen on Joey’s season but I happened to turn it on as there was nothing else on. I thought she did a great job. They actually showed a couple real conversations beyond "I’m so happy its you"and I liked that she wasn’t kissing everyone on night 1. I actually felt like I could tell the guys apart for a change. Only 1 asian suitor but overall a fair amount of diversity.
