Trash TV - The Bachelor/The Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise

To be fair, it took more than a little time on Google. But yes, the vetting process is problematic

I’m sure they are doing more vetting than someone would do if just meeting a guy in a bar, but yes, the standard should be higher. Do they not read the applicants’ social media pages? Usually there is enough there to ferret out the psychos.

Apparently one of the conditions to be on the show is that you can’t have every had a restraining order. Even if they didn’t find it, if he signed that he was qualified to apply, he was not honest.

Devin was looking for a quick ticket to influencer stardom - all he is going to get is 15 minutes of bad fame.

Well, if you’re that kind of guy, you’re probably not going to be honest.

Mixing my shows, but Joey is really good on DWTS

I don’t normally watch DWTS, but tuned in to see him.

First, I agree. He is surprisingly good. I tried to look up if he had any dance training before the show but couldn’t find it.

Second, I almost didn’t’ recognize him last week. It goes to show you what a good haircut can do. :haircut_man:t4: Personally, I like the middle image with a little bit of curl.

Agree about the curl, but the tight cut probably is a little cleaner.

He looks more mature with shorter hair.

NEW season of The Bachelor starts tomorrow night! Grant’s season (he was on Jenn’s season)

I’ll probably watch largely because it’s winter and my current tv watching schedule is pretty scarce.

Here’s the contestants:

Pic of Grant this season’s bachelor in case anyone needs to be enticed to join the party.

He did seem like a very nice guy when we saw him before, I’ve heard no backlash and he is quite good looking!

I didn’t even notice Grant on Jenn’s season. He came across well in one of the interviews on Golden Bachelorette so intrigued me. However, the fact that he just dropped his first song on Apple/Spotify is a bit of a turn off.

Well, I’m out. I just realized the SNL music documentary is on opposite it. Will catch it later online.

It’s rare that I watch it live or the night it airs. Anyone can jump in anytime!

Just no episode spoilers before end of show eastern standard time.

I watched some last night and the rest this morning while exercising.

My hot takes:
Lots of glittery gowns

Lots of long dark hair

Grant REALLY wants to be a dad

I cried at the intro

The sister thing was annoying - she seemed like a teacher coming into the room

I hate the first episodes and every conversation being a gimmick

Sometimes so easy to see the level of maturity of people right from the start

I want to see more of Chloe (no idea how to spell anyone’s actual name) - the “plus sized” model - she seemed like a breath of fresh air.

The woman who got the first rose was one of the LEAST showy dress and make up wise. I like that he picked her.

Thoughts??
