I said upthread two or three weeks ago that he should just give Juliana the rose already. The way he was so emotional with her just said to me that the connection hit on a different level.
I loved how Litia held the line with Grant and spilled some tea about how he was love-bombing her. I also said upthread that her family seemed desperate to marry her off. Maybe he picked up on that? There was something a little Stepford Wife about her to me. I don’t think that I would’ve picked her either.
I do wish they had probed more with Juliana about hearing/seeing how he was all in with Litia, until he wasn’t. I can imagine that was difficult for her to watch.
Maybe it was the wrong time or angle, but his family didn’t look happy. And what happened about moving to NJ to be close to his dad? They’ll have fun in Boston, however. Did we not see her mom during the hometown date? I can’t remember as they focused so much on the dad.
Agree about Zoe’s cut. DH didn’t even recognize her.
Grants sister especially didn’t look thrilled. I always felt like she herself was gunning for a spot on one of the franchises. I bet his family saw Litia as a safer bet.
Stepford Wife’s, YES.
I did sort of love when she kept saying “Grant, come on” during their at the rose ceremony conversation- we really saw live and in person the situation becoming clear in her mind. I give her credit for her verbal come back to him.
I fast forwarded through parts of it but these are my thoughts.
Litia could not walk in that final rose ceremony dress.
Grant seems much closer to his father than his mom. His mom (and sister?) wanted Litia and his dad liked Juliana. Personally, I thought Litia looked uncomfortable and came across as a bit condescending to Grant’s father. Yes, his sister did not seem pleased.
When Grant said that he wanted to be near his dad, Litia said she would be willing to move. In last night’s episode, she said she would move to a neutral location. I don’t know if the two of them discussed that or if it was her idea.
When Grant asked about the timeline and what would happen if he didn’t want that timeline, she said, “it depends” and then went on to say what it depended on. I thought that sounded rather controlling. She said the timeline was put on the table in the second episode so that it wasn’t new. But if her timeline kept getting discussed over and over and she didn’t seem flexible, maybe that is what raised concerns.
I think Grant came into this wanting marriage and a family. Litia had it all figured out and he felt some level of comfort in that. Then, as he went through the process, he realized that her lifestyle, plans for the future, and culture were something that he would have to change in order to fit into. She is a strong woman and their relationship sounds like she is more of a leader/teacher. With Juliana, it sounds like more of a partnership. I’m not sure if it will last, but they sound more supportive of each other.
I liked that he said that he was not her person. She wants someone who checks off the boxes. He is attracted to her in may ways, but isn’t someone who can do that. There is someone else out there who can.
The final three women all looked great. Whomever did their make up did a nice job.
I also thought that if Grant really wants to pursue a music career that Julianna might be more open and fitting in that scene.
I really liked Grant. The lead is a tough spot to be in and there is NO WAY you don’t break someone(s) heart along the way. Nature of the beast!
Now I want to know how/why I’m seeing Litia CONSTANTLY in Katy Biggar’s (she is engaged to Zach previous “boring” Bachelor) social media feed! Litia has definitely become a Bachelorette groupie. Wonder if they actually knew each other BEFORE her season.
Also let’s address that WET MONSOON they were forced to be in - does the audience care if they are outside or inside? It was check out time at the hotel for their/the crew 11am so they had to get out?!!
I guess I don’t understand wearing an outfit I can barely walk in with shoes likely to send me to the ER. Obviously I don’t understand fashion but honestly—blah! The men never wear clothes that restrict them nearly as much or are as dangerous to walk in!
It might not have been the shoes it might have been the dress that restricted her movement - regardless, her choice! It also didn’t help that it was raining and a monsoon - the entire event was outside.
I finally watched the end where Latia comes out on stage. Although I know she was very hurt and angry and expressed her reasons why at the rose ceremony, I thought her final comment about “everyone woman needs a man that wakes up and knows it is her” (or something like that) was an unnecessary and mean dig towards Juliana.
She really wants the world (and Juliana) to know that she felt bamboozled. I mean, the whole premise of this show is that the lead falls in love with more than one woman and struggles at the end! You put yourself in this situation! Idk, I think she is still really mad but also still hell bent on making Grant look kinda bad. And, in some ways, probably succeeded.
