I feel like they are dragging it out at the end ! 3 episodes once it’s down to 2? We needed more episodes earlier to actually get to know people better!

Y’all, I watched this whole thing. speeded up and going through commercials. Man, she makes Gary look bad, but she acts like she’s not trying to. It’s like a superpower!
If y’all don’t know, this couple does regular reality recaps. Sharleen was a Bachelor contestant back in the day, the opera singer.

I really think Teresa came across as a very very nice person. He came across as very shallow and not a nice person. Sounds like they had a pretty challenged relationship. Sharleen is gorgeous & seems like a great person!
^^^ don’t know that show at all - also Theresa needs to move on ! (Not especially a fan of either of them)
So back to this season. I have to say I know he doesn’t give a lot of personality and entertainment but I think Mel is scared you-know-what-less to dive into a relationship. No way is he giving a ring next week and planning for that to mean marriage. (Which I am ok with!). I have come to like the guy.
I would have bet money on Cindy for weeks. But now I think Peg. He seemed to give her a lot more in conversation,activity, everything. I wonder if Cindy is a little boring to him.
But because I think it will be Peg it will probably be Cindy lol!
I don’t think Cindy is boring to him, but I think she is more challenging and maybe he just wants to have fun. Could be editing, but it felt like he wasn’t giving Cindy anything.

To pen Pegs phrase, I feel like Peg is the fireworks and Cindy is the fireplace. Which is he looking for??
He clearly doesn’t plan to leave there married so I think that it’ll come down to whether Cindy will be OK with that. If so, I think that he’ll go with Cindy. I mean, what’s the rush? He seems willing to be in a committed relationship, just not marriage right away. Unlike @Hoggirl ‘s MIL, I can’t imagine jumping into something so quickly at my age.

This podcast was very interesting. I was surprised that Theresa said Gerry had more money, but wasn’t surprised that she wanted to keep working after she realized he wasn’t worth quitting her job over. She mentioned his temper, which echoes what Carolyn, the girlfriend who he refused to take to the reunion had mentioned. Theresa admitted she didn’t tell him how she was really feeling in several situations. Funny that Gerry said her house was so small (and she never cooked) so she used her stove as a make-up counter. Clearly both are to blame.
We just hooked up an old tv and antenna to get ABC, due to the dispute with youtube tv.
Yes, the money thing was interesting. So was the way she described how her dh’s income was so up and down. She came across to me as a little spacey but good-natured enough.
I didn’t really care for Theresa and thought the whole “zip it” thing was spot on, however I don’t believe she deserves the mud slinging he is doing right now. It makes him look bad, not her.

I watched the finale of the Golden Bachelor, even though I was unimpressed with the season. Mel just has too many walls and was a poor choice for the Golden Bachelor. I respect Cindy for walking out on him. In the end, I think Peg was the best match for Mel.

I think they did it right. Rushing into marriage like Gerry and Theresa was a mistake. You don’t get to know someone well enough during the filming to rush into a wedding.

We also saw more personality from Mel once he was down to one and after the rose.
I really respect him (and her) for doing it their way - NOT calling it an engagement. I’m just as happy for them as I would be with an engagement.
His boys seemed quite nice and cared about their dad.

I’m thinking she will tire of him pretty quickly - the dune buggy ride was the tell for me, he’s not as adventurous as she is.

Anyway, this is delightful! I ended up liking Mel more than I thought I would and love Peg just as I thought I would. Mel feels like a good-natured PITA
That was cute. It does appear in the podcast that the couple is pretty happy together, Mel & Peg.
