Awww, I am sorry. Full pay is definitely too much at Syracuse.
It feels a bit like a punch in the gut doesn’t it? On the one hand I am happy and excited for those that got in but feel a little sad too.
I was on such a high too as my daughter has been killing it on her track team and got athlete of the week in our local paper and then the dreaded W word hit

1/85 ranked both unweighted and weighted, 1540 SAT, still got waitlisted from TE at Syracuse. Must have been a pretty competitive pool this year
Well said! While sad, here’s hoping these amazing kids know these disappointments (had our fair share this week) don’t define their future, that they feel all the love and support they have, and are excited for what’s to come.

It is a gut punch. I feel so bad for him, although he keeps coming in here worried that I am upset, he actually asked if I was disappointed. Poor kiddo. I told him I don’t care AT ALL about Syracuse, or any other school. I wanted him to go to college and I wanted him to do well in college, respect that we have saved a ton and not blow it off gaming.
But otherwise I don’t care at all. He was just so focused on Syracuse so maybe if it’s off the table now he will just move on to a different school. He also has a new friend at school who just moved here and they are super close recently and this kid ALSO had his heart set on Syracuse so I can only imagine it’s going to be yucky. (no idea if the kid got in, didn’t)
How did RIT notify on TE? No update in S24’s admissions portal since March 15.
Well my D got home from school and I asked how she was feeling. She said “Great!” I said, you are not bummed at all for getting on the Syracuse waitlist?
Her response, oh I almost forgot about that until you mentioned it. 
She was also excited she got a free shirt for being athlete of the week.

Did your student get waitlisted for admission or TE at Syracuse?
Mine got admitted into Maxwell with $20k merit, but received an email that he was waitlisted for TE.
My son was admitted to Syracuse with merit but no info on TE yet. When did you receive the waitlist email? Also, I’m sorry, that sucks
The TE waitlist email came within moments of getting the admit notification.
She got an email notification to check her portal.
Did it come to your students email?
It was sent directly to my student. I had no notification through my home uni/work.

Yes, accepted with 30k a year in merit aid but waitlisted for the TE scholarship itself.

I wonder how long the TE waitlist at Cuse is? Did anyone who got admitted to SU get word of being awarded or denied TE scholarship?
S24 is accepted, but we heard nothing about TE.
