In communication with the TE officer. ~ 500 apps and acceptance rate of around 10%, but others have posted different #s.

Our focus for S24 was TE schools with engineering. Our home institution does not offer an engineering degree so that wasn’t an option. He applied to Bucknell, Clarkson, RIT, Stevens, Syracuse and WPI. The best financial offer was Clarkson - TE set rate plus an extra 10K. His favorite two schools were WPI and RIT. He selected RIT.

Our S19 took a summer class at our home institution under our remission benefit (free with a small fee) and it didn’t effect his TE status at all.

Just got the letter! D24 awarded TE at USC. It’s valued at $57,000 which still leaves $38,000. This is going to be a tough decision.

My daughter received an email from Lewis & Clark 3 weeks ago letting her know that she would not be awarded TE.

One of my student’s offers only gave her about 10 days to accept it. We asked for an extension. They didn’t respond until the 11th day. But they did then extend it to the end of the month, like we had asked, which was an additional week or so to decide.

Ultimately, she turned it down, after an admitted student’s day at her final decision.

This scares me. My daughter has the letters and better read them again to make sure this isn’t the case for us. I don’t think they should do this! Give us until at least May 1st.

My daughter is almost certain that she’ll attend Creighton in the fall.

They do stack but she did not get additional merit from USC. we had been hoping for that since she was admitted EA but didn’t happen.

Daughter was awarded TE at USC today too! She’s so excited, this is her first choice school. Just in case there are others out there that are curious, she was a spring admit for S25.

Did anyone get the the TE for GWU, BU, UF or Loyola? Interested for Fall 2025 start. This will be my 4th and final run at the TE, 2/3 so far are using it.

Denied at BU, haven’t heard from GWU. I haven’t heard anyone here say they got BU, I don’t think.
