@Acpurple22 It was Duquesne
No movement here.
We were waitlisted at George Wash and Syracuse. When I reached out to the liaisons the GW one told me were at the bottom of the list, and they have never gone that far down the waitlist to fill spots. So we moved on.
Syracuse said this was their first year utilizing the waitlist and they had no idea what to expectâŠso neither do we. They pushed back their acceptance deadline to 5/15. We accepted the SetonHall offer, but I think if Cuse came through my son would change his mind.
Thank you for sharing this. If a TE offer comes through after May 1, can someone accept it even if they have committed to another school?
I donât see why not. One would just lose their deposit.
Thank you! 23/25/28 (high school) mom! Stalking for my '25!
All faculty are eligible at our home school. Staff enter a lottery for a limited number of spots. Thereâs a minimum number of years of service- canât remember, my husband is waaaay beyond it at this point!
Son has committed to GWU; we are so pleased for him. Of the schools he applied to, we heard back one way or another on TE from all except Temple. I updated the spreadsheet with our results. Weâll be back on the TE threads in a few years for S27. Everyone here has been so helpful and supportive- best to all of your kiddos, may they grow and thrive where theyâre planted!
Itâs pretty quiet on this thread/CC! We are doing some final admitted student tours. At Clark today the TE rep said the waitlist is still active (and that they would be making decisions soon), and that students can apply for an extension beyond 5/1 if needed (they havenât extended their deadline), in case this is helpful to anyone else.
It has been quiet. Still waiting for all our info to make the final decisions. I sure wish it would happen soon!
Dâs portal updated yesterday with Baldwin-Wallace extending her a TE offer after previously being on the WL. Really nice to see this come in although I expect her to turn it down. Wondering if we will see an email from the college today explaining the details.
I expect this next month to be a bit discombobulated as we hope to see some more WL movement but need to put a deposit down by May 1st at current top choice.
We got the call this week that my son was being offered TE at his number one choice - Sacred Heart University. We were so happy for it to happen before May 1. He is committed and has declined TE at his remaining schools so hopefully someone will get off the waitlist at those. University of New Haven and Merrimack. Itâs been a very long and stressful process but we are so grateful for this opportunity. Hoping those of you still waiting get some good news also!
D24 is home and turned down the Lesley offer. She has enrolled for Wheaton, and will probably email on the 30th one last âif ANYONE turns down an offer, I would be thrilled to take it!â
S24 committed to Case!
D24 committed to RIT!
She notified Stevens last night that she was declining, so that the TE offer can go to someone on the waitlist asap.
Mine committed to Wheaton and turned down Lesley. I am hopeful there is a kid out there as excited for Lesley as mine is for Wheaton and that the waiver is passed on to them!
She will send an email on the 30th as just a âhey, Iâm in, Iâm coming, but would also still take the waiver if someone turns it down!â Her pre-loan merit and need has the COA at 27k - the waiver would save an additional 10 which would be wonderful but she does have great FA package. Lesley with the waiver would only be 5k less and wasnât the fit she found at Wheaton.
(And of course, all of it is predicated on 'we will invest for you to grow and thrive, and if it doesnât work out you always have a soft landing at our home institution for free.)
Finally heard back from Dayton. No TE as expected- I know others were waiting as well.
My son committed to Trinity University in San Antonio. He has notified all the other schools who gave offers or who had waitlisted him. Glad this process is over! Good luck to everyone hoping to move off waitlists!
I am so happy for those of you that have found your school!
It made me sad at our athletic senior night that my D couldnât even give her after graduation plans as we donât know where she is going yet. Years past most everyone would already know.
Oh well. Still having to wait until mid-May for TE waitlist decision. Crossing my fingers they send it earlier.
Still no decision here, though S24 has declined all TE offers that he received. He still has no financial aid package from his top choice (Duquesne - and did not get TE there), so if that is not an acceptable package, heâll attend our home institution. He has to accept at the home institution by 5/1.
It is so hard and stressful. Hoping that TE comes through for you!
