Not at all- St. Bonaventure and Drew U.
Accepted at Salve Regina and Quinnipiac, not expecting TE, but both gave her nice merit.
Waiting for Mount Holyoke, Wheaton, and Hobart & William Smith.

Congratulations!! Have you visited Drew? Drew was my son’s top pick for a TE/CIC school, we visited and he loved it (so did I), and I think that’s where he would have ended up if he hadn’t gotten the Posse fellowship.
Thanks for the reply, I guess I was thinking work against her from an admissions standpoint (better for college to accept a kid that’s going to pay part of the bill vs. one that’s TE) But it’s true, MHC is known for generous aid- that’s a very good point. We visited in the fall, and I agree, everyone was very kind and approachable, it’s on her list!
My son just got accepted to CWRU and the offer of Tuition Exchange was in the acceptance letter!! So excited. First TE offer so far.
Same, my son was accepted to Case with TE, his first TE offer. We weren’t expecting that—what a pleasant surprise!
Congratulations to your respective sons, @alogan and @ChiliMost! Wonderful to have an acceptance and even more wonderful with TE!
Congrats to the TE!!!
DD is still waiting on one last college response (today I hope).
TE approved at Elmhurst, U of Indy, and Mercyhurst
Thank you! It boggles the mind to think my kid can get a TE to CWRU and we’re still only halfway there in terms of cost of attendance, but we’re nonetheless very pleased.
We did visit Drew-the campus is very nice! The open house wasn’t well done in my opinion, but it’s still on the list. But I think she’s more interested in St. Bonaventure and she got a nice merit scholarship from a SUNY that makes it almost tuition-free.
Congrats to your son on his accomplishment! How exciting!
Thank you! And what a cute beagle (we have a beagle, too)
I just had to google “What is a hurst?”
I have a colleague with a kid at Drew with TE and they are VERY happy!
Reminder to start filling in the 2025 tab of the spreadsheet as decisions start coming in. Thanks!
My daughter is waiting for TE decisions, but in the meantime, she has settled on her favorite school, and will likely go there no matter what. She could commit to the school now or wait until after she hears about TE. Do you think either approach would affect her TE decision? If she commits before the TE decision, she shows that she really wants to be there - maybe this improves her chances for TE? Or, if she commits now, they see that they don’t need to give her TE as she is already committed? Or maybe it doesn’t matter at all?
I would think this is the case. But I think she could write a letter saying that if she got TE she would 100% commit.
U of Scranton gave award.(editing to clarify FACHEX)
January doldrums here… I think the first TE decision we will see in Duquesne which seems to release in early Feb. We are getting some financial aid reports going through, which are nice to see, I guess. Weirdly, she has not gotten a Simmons accept or decline at all yet. I have reservations about that school, but it could also possibly be good for her? This process is so much hurry up an wait…
/at least the last kid is a high school freshman so I get a real breather
Yes hurry up and wait is right! Having done this two years in a row, I am also grateful that kid 3 (of 4) is a Freshman!
I guess we’re waiting too. Three of the TE colleges D25 applied to EA. Only one provided financial aid info which included TE, although it’s not reflected on the TE app. I’m guessing we won’t hear anything about TE until they send financial aid info. I have no clue how long that means we have to wait.
There are four more RD that she’s still waiting on. They didn’t have EA as an option as are more selective. If she’s accepted, I don’t know what her chances will be for TE. She’s great, but so is everyone else.
