Tuition Exchange for Fall 2025 (Class of 2029)

Hopefully they’ll get everything processed quickly this week!

Congrats to all who have received TE offers!! It’s a jungle out there!

Wondering if anyone has heard back about TE for Tulane and University of Florida…

She’s declining St Joe’s now. Perhaps a turnaround by tomorrow for notification of the next on the list?

She is down to DePaul (home school) and Duquesne and wants to visit Duquesne one more time. DS was way easier.

Thanks for the update! My son is on the lengthy (from what I heard) waiting list for St Joes TE. I will be sure to keep an eye out for any emails and/or updates on the portal. Did your TE portal for St Joes ever update because ours still says “import decision pending?”

I’m becoming relieved as the TE process is coming to an end for us (for this year at least!) If my son receives TE at St Joes or DePaul, he will be attending one of those. If not, he will be attending Xavier (received TE).

Next year we will be repeating this whole process, but with my daughter (class of 2026). She has began her college search and is interested in the bigger and more well-known TE schools (of course), so I’m not looking forward to it!

Was also just coming here to ask about UF.

No, St Joe’s never updated the portal with “import approved” as we see for Duquesne.

Saw somewhere that their portal was updated as a denied, but haven’t seen that yet? Has anyone else received a decision one way or another from Univ. of Florida?

Anyone hear from Marist about TE that didn’t hear in January?

Yikes, need input!! Boston University decisions come out tomorrow. So we don’t know if my kid is in yet. My kid’s tuition exchange portal just changed to “Import Approved.” We’re trying not to get hopes up, but thinking this is a pretty positive sign? Could one get tuition exchange but then separately not get in? We’re a little shocked and trying not to read too much into this until we know for sure.

Does anyone know if TE from Syracuse would show in the admissions decision or if TE decisions come later?

I think they come a few days later

I would read a bit into that. We had a school say import approved long before they notified us.

That sounds like good news - I don’t think it would approve import if she wasn’t getting admitted. Good luck!

Question about Syracuse - my son was awarded a scholarship - don’t know about TE yet. If he also gets TE - can that only apply to tuition? He received award for 50% tuition scholarship :tada:
I’m wondering if he gets TE - I think they can stack.

If TE = $43k for Syracuse and 50% tuition scholarship brings it to less than that - we can’t apply any overage to room and board or anything - can we? From brief look at their website - looks like there is an additional $25K in fees above tuition. (yikes!)

Also waiting to hear on UF.

My daughter got the 1/2 tuition through the Leadership Scholarship last year. She was admitted as a double major (Psych and Journalism) and into the honor program. She was waitlisted for TE. FinAid was ZERO help last year during this process.

You can stack at 'Cuse but only up to full tuition. Good luck!

Good luck! I think it is a positive sign… BU only awards 10 spots a year! My D24 was waitlisted for both admission and TE at BU last year.

I think this is a great sign as well! This year D25 had “Import Approved” in portal about a week before we were emailed that she got TE (Gannon). Also, for Duquesne, her portal said “Denied-Other” before we received an email saying we didn’t get TE. Crossing my fingers for you and your child!!

Thank you!!

It was indeed a good sign! She got in to Boston University this morning and the financial aid offer had TE in it! She’s extremely excited.

Yes. This is what my kid has (1/2 tuition leadership scholarship + TE to cover the rest). So he has a full tuition scholarship, but it doesn’t go over that. We pay for room and board and fees, etc. It’s ~$20K. With the federal loans, and our son’s job earnings, that leaves about $5K/yr for us to pay.

TE will not show on the admissions letter but will show in the financial aid award in MySlice.

My DS received a few TE offers from some great schools and he will accept one for this Fall. He had an above average GPA and SAT scores and a nice list of extracurriculars. My question is about my other kids - all good students with 3.5-3.8 GPAs with some honors classes, average number of extracurricular activities, etc. Have any of you found any schools through this process that offered TE scholarships for good students, maybe just not in the “elite” category (sorry, couldn’t think of a better term to use there) If we start a list of schools that did offer opportunities to these students, it might be helpful to others who have more kids like us that would like to pursue a TE opportunity. Curious to see if anyone found any…
