University of San Diego released today. She did not get it.
Bucknell TE offer came today with acceptance.
Dickinson acceptance came with TE award.
Son just got TE offer from U Richmond!
Marquette came out. It’s a no for us. : (
My son received a TE from Suffolk and has accepted it. We were told they gave 5 this year, full tuition. He was also offered a guaranteed three year (starting Sophomore year) from Roger Williams, which he declined. The letters from both schools clearly stated the deposit deadline is May 1 but asked for the courtesy of a sooner response about the scholarship if at all possible. Good luck everyone!
My S25 was admitted and got merit but was denied TE from Delaware.
Has anyone heard from Bryant University for TE?
Providence just notified about Tuition Exchange. My son did get it.
Same for us, a “no” from Marquette. Not surprised given the application to award ratio.
DD will be turning down the Saint Joes TE award. Lovely school, neither one of us see her here and can’t even really say why - not quite city enough?
D25 really loved St. Joe’s. She liked the compact campus and that it was the first school where she recognized that service learning and volunteering were important to her. But she didn’t love that there wasn’t much of a surrounding area walkable and that food choices were limited.
(meanwhile, S23 is at a school with a limited surrounding area but he is thriving there. d25 just didn’t feel as safe).
She’s comparing it to Duquesne, mostly. And that park campus looking out at city buildings it pretty unique of ones I’ve seen
Skidmore T.E. came with acceptance today.
This was my first time applying for TE for my child, so I wasn’t familiar and didn’t know what to expect. Before applying for TE, we were aware of how competitive they are, so we casted a wide net of schools. Here are the schools we applied to for TE and results:
Providence: Denied TE
Pitt: Denied TE
University of Delaware- Denied TE
Gannon- Denied TE
Robert Morris- Awarded TE
Suffolk: Awarded TE
Xavier: Awarded TE
UIndy: Awarded TE
St Joes: Waitlisted
DePaul: Still waiting
My son had a ~3.9 GPA (UW). Took several AP classes and applied test optional. High school VP, involved in 4 clubs, community service, and has a part time job. We are thrilled to have gotten these 3 TE awards and he’s still deciding where he wants to go. Does anyone know when DePaul comes out because that’s his current top choice?
Typo! ( I meant 4 TE offers)
My daughter’s heart is set on saint joes. Hoping that you can let them know so she can have a shot! She’s currently in what seeems to be a waitlist limbo there.
I just saw your earlier post about letting st joes know, thank you!
Stressful process….thankful TE exists though. She has had some yessss and no’s and is really trying to decide between Seton Hall (which was a yes), Temple (which hasn’t made a decision yet? I don’t know) and St Joes (which hasn’t officially said yes or no, but has not put her on a waiting list either, so no clue what’s going on there honestly).
My son’s top two schools are DePaul and Saint Joes. He hasn’t heard from DePaul yet but like you, we believe he is waitlisted at Saint Joes for TE. We sent emails to Saint Joes asking about our status on TE and they said that all awards were given out, but not all were accepted yet. They said this year they received a record amount of applicants so I’m curious how long the “waitlist” is. We too are hoping that we get an award that someone turns down.
Popping in! Sounds like there has been lots of TE decisions recently (finally!). D25 sent a financial appeal for Duquesne (her top choice) a while ago and we haven’t heard anything. Her other top choice (a non-TE school) is much more affordable and in my opinion a better fit, so I’m betting she will go there.
